Overhead, the chandelier sparkled with brilliant light. Blanca sat on a couch quietly, looking at people coming and going. The bustling scene made her feel inferior. Most of the girls had a great body and a pretty face. They were elegant, dignified and beautiful. Blanca was curious to know if Matthew ever loved one of them. He was so brilliant that Blanca didn’t know who could ever be good enough for him. Maybe the girl he liked should be pretty, smart and from a rich family.

At this thought, Blanca found herself good for nothing. Come to think of it, she felt a sense of sadness, but soon she caught a glimpse of those delicate desserts on the table, her eyes ablaze suddenly. Louise stared at the plate, flushed and angry. Then she looked at the girl next to her for support. And that was when Blanca noticed the pretty girl, who was wearing a long, flowing white gown. Blanca surveyed the girl. Undoubtedly, she was as pretty as a doll, her big eyes twinkling on her sweet face. She was so amazing that even Blanca couldn’t get her eyes off her.
