Blanca laughed to herself and sat alone on the couch. There were free meals and free drinks here. What she should do was to enjoy herself. But at this moment, a man suddenly stood next to her. Blanca was rather taken aback. While she turned her head and was surprised to find that the man was Peter.
Peter did not recognize her at all. He came to the party and inadvertently, a beauty came in his sights. He was soon deeply attracted to her beauty by this quick glimpse. In his eyes, she eclipsed and predominated the whole party. So, Peter took a glass of wine from a waiter and walked toward Blanca, uncontrollably actually. “Hi. Alone? What about having a drink with me?” Peter said with a smile all over his face.
Blanca felt funny at his words and broke into laughter. “Don’t you remember me, Peter? We’ve met before, at the door of the Japanese restaurant,” Blanca reminded.
Peter looked round at Blanca, frowning. He tried to think back. Soon, his eyes widened as if he remembered something. Blanca noticed the surprised look on his face, her smile more brilliant. She patted him on his back and said, “What a coincidence! I didn’t know you are here.”
“Oh my god. How could it be you?” Peter gave Blanca a disappointed look and broke out into a sharp, querulous cry. He was expecting to fall in love with a beauty tonight, but Blanca broke into his daydream. When Peter looked Blanca up and down and noticed her overpriced dress, he was a little bit surprised. He originally thought that she was just a poor girl.
“So, uh, why are you here?” asked Blanca. Peter didn’t answer, his eyes fixed on Blanca.
Blanca was not customed to being looked at like that. She was embarrassed for her dress was low-cut. She put her arms round her breast and threw him an annihilating glance. “Stop looking at me like that.”
