Jim stared at Matthew with bloodshot eyes.
He never thought his brother would say such a thing!
All that said was that he’d fooled around with women so much that he was dragging everything onto women.
“We’re a family, Matthew. Is this how you treat family?” Jim raged. He sprang out of his chair, emanating aggression.
He had actually come back late, but it was because some third-rate model had stood him up. He was still seething.
“You’re technically my family. Of course I know that.” Matthew sat, completely at ease, on the sofa, long legs folded. Holding a cup of coffee, he looked up slightly and his reply was casual.
Jim’s face started to tremble.
This big brother of his never took him seriously!
“What do you mean by that, Matthew?!” Jim couldn’t hold back. Usually he grinned and bore everything Matthew threw at him, but he had a temper too.
Seeing the scene before him unfold, the old man didn’t make any extraneous comment or expression.
He simply said coldly, “Both of you get out.”
“Grandpa…”
Louise heard those frigid words and saw the old man’s piercing gaze sweep the room, and her courage hammered away. If Grandpa really lost his temper, then…
Gunpowder seemed to hang in the air above the living room.
Still clutching at Alan’s elbow, Blanca felt his temper surge, and hurriedly smoothed him over. “Just let them go at it, Grandpa. They’re red-blooded young men and get impulsive when they talk, you know? I’m not taking anyone’s side, but you can’t blow your top, Grandpa! Can’t mess up your body after all.”
