Please Come Back, Honey! novel Chapter 85

Chapter 85

Emma and Trevor had no idea they were thinking differently. Trevor thought Emma would treat him to lunch or dinner. He even thought about having her cook for him, while Emma thought Trevor only wanted a gift or something. She opted for a pen just so Crystal would not harass her again. They thought they had reached an agreement, so they put this behind them.

Trevor said, “I heard Wesley is going to post an announcement with Alpha‘s official account.”

Emma wondered how he found out about that, and he said, “You should do it with your own account. Alpha is a whole company. It would not bode well for you if Wesley failed to keep it under control. The shareholders might lose money over this.”

Emma pursed her lips. She knew that Trevor had a point. He had this convincing charm about him, so she accepted his suggestion instinctively. She muttered, “Sure.” Emma was wondering if she should accept Wesley‘s help. She would owe him too much if he did defend her with the company‘s name.

Trevor wanted her to post the announcement to her own wall so she would not get more haters. He was also telling Wesley to stop making any moves on Emma. She would owe him a favor if he staked the company on her. Emma never knew how to say no. She might even say yes to Wesley‘s proposal if he did not stop him. Emma failed to see through Wesley‘s plans, but Trevor did. He asked, “Do you have your own Twitter account?”

“Yes...” Emma answered awkwardly.

She did have a Twitter account, but most of the content was related to Trevor. It was a diary of her days. It recorded her happiness, frustration, and sadness throughout the relationship. She kept a record of the marriage on her own Facebook wall. Her account was just a place for her to vent. She never posted any photos of herself or the people in her life, so nobody knew who she was. She did not have to worry about anyone finding out about her posts.

She was a wordsmith, so she would post little snippets of her opinion on dramas and movies. Her masterful writing garnered her some fans, but there were not a lot of them. She only had about two to three thousand. Sometimes, she would also share the food she made. Aside from that, she would repost Susanna‘s new show and movies. She never logged in after she posted one last tweet since the divorce.

‘Three years. It’s over now. The dream is gone. My heart‘s a million picces now, but I have to pick myself up. That was her last tweet, and there were a few comments underneath. The netizens were cheering her on.

“Do your best, girl. It‘ll get better!

“You‘re a wonderful and gentle woman. His loss.

‘You‘re a good writer. You should write more. Try starting a career in writing!
