She yelled at the chat interface of "Baby Hanna", pretending that she did not care about their friendship at all, but her tears showed that she was loath to end their friendship.
She wiped away tears at random and pretended to be strong, but tears came down her face like spring water. She hid under the quilt and cried loudly. Hanna had never unfriended her before. It made Adelaide aware of the seriousness and regret her hurting people around her like a hedgehog.
The smartphone placed outside the quilt was ringing, but she cried so hard that she couldn't hear. She didn't find it until she poked her head out after her face became red for lack of oxygen.
Before looking at the smartphone, Adelaide was overjoyed and wiped away tears with the quilt because her instinct told her that it was Hanna. She took the smartphone hurriedly and saw several words on the screen, "Doctor Calvin."
She was suddenly stunned. She lost final hope, tears pouring down again. Then she picked up the phone tremblingly.
"Why did it take you so long to pick up the phone?"
She naturally didn't find that she missed several calls because the smartphone was ringing just now. Adelaide cleared her throat, "Well, I was busy just now."
Calvin did not think much about it, because he was already very happy when he heard her voice. He smiled and squinted his eyes, asking, "Zofia comes and she wants to see you. Would you like to come over here?"
Adelaide thought for a while and then agreed.
Knowing that she couldn't drive, Calvin volunteered to pick her up. Adelaide thought that she could take a taxi by herself and did not want to bother him, but Calvin was determined though he talked with a smile. She applied a much foundation on her face, but still failed to cover the skin red from crying. She put down the makeup in frustration. When she was about to washed off the foundation, Calvin called her, saying that he had arrived.
Adelaide was surprised at his speed, took her smartphone from the table and went downstairs hurriedly. Damla had just cleaned the first floor when she saw Adelaide dressed beautifully from a distance. She didn't even give Damla a glance, changed her shoes and went straight to the car outside.
Seeing her coming out, Calvin got off the car, opened the door of the back seat for her, asked her to sit in gently and then returned to the driver's seat. Then, he started the car and drove away, leaving some dust behind. Damla saw everything and then ran to her room quickly to phone Antonio, reporting what she had saw to him.
When they arrived at the office, Zofia and her parents were sitting upright on the sofa. Seeing her, Zofia was obviously very happy. She was much lively than yesterday and went to hug Adelaide.
She helped Calvin in his work again. Soon, they finished today's therapy, after which Zofia played with Adelaide for a little while and then went home with her schoolbag to do her homework.
There were just Adelaide and Calvin in the office. He made a cup of coffee for her, stared at her and asked, "Can you tell me the reason why you cry?"
What he said was irresistible. Adelaide bit her lip desperately. This was her last psychological defense. Calvin asked again gently. She swallowed saliva and nodded, "I quarreled with Hanna!"
Hearing this, he was much relieved and smiled with ease, "It is normal. It is not rare that friends quarrel with each other."
Hearing him saying so, Adelaide shook her head and covered her eyes with one hand, as if avoiding it. After a long time, she told him everything slowly. After that, Calvin was also silent.
It was common for friends to quarrel with each other.
