Hermosa had thought Antonio would haul in his horns in front of so many relatives. She let Antonio solve it because she thought Antonio would not let her down. But weren't his words an indirect recognition of Clarissa?
Hermosa looked at Adelaide, who would choose to be wronged to maintain Antonio's image. The more Hermosa thought about it, the more she felt that she couldn't hurt Adelaide.
She slapped hard on the sofa with her wrinkled hand, "You bastard, what are you talking about? Our family will never admit the illegitimate child in her belly!" the more she said, the angrier she got. Her chest heaved, "As long as I'm alive, I will never allow her to marry into our family! Not every illegitimate child or mistress can become a master."
Hermosa's words were not only sharp, but also hurt Alvin, who had to force a smile as he gritted his teeth, "Yes. Antonio, quickly apologize to your grandma."
Seeing that Hermosa was really angry, Antonio regretted that he shouldn't have gotten in a rage because of Adelaide and admitted Clarissa's identity.
Hermosa coughed.
"Grandma, please calm down. Let's go back to room."
Hermosa nodded in pleasure. Adelaide was gentle and kind. She could not understand why Antonio loved Clarissa. Hermosa was so angry that her headache and cough and other illnesses reappeared. She calmed down and went back to her room with Adelaide's help.
Hermosa was pissed off and left. So, the family dinner naturally ended unhappily. Many people had waited for a chance to show themselves. But now, it was all disrupted by Clarissa. So, they looked at Clarissa with hatred when leaving.
But it did not matter to Clarissa. As long as she could drive Adelaide away and become Antonio's wife, what she had done was worth it.
Back in the room, Adelaide poured a cup of hot water for Hermosa. Looking at Adelaide's sad expression, Hermosa was anxious. She could stop Antonio from divorcing Adelaide. But she could not control their feelings.
In the matter of relationship, it was better for them to work on their own.
Hermosa touched Adelaide's hand with pity, "Adelaide, it was Antonio's fault. Grandma apologizes to you on his behalf."
"No, grandma." Despite she was sad, considering that she couldn't let Hermosa worry about everything for her, Adelaide softly pacified.
Hermosa sighed and told her to talk with Antonio after returning home. Adelaide nodded and said yes and felt disturbed.
She really had thought it over before she said that she was willing to give up Antonio. But seeing Antonio defend Clarissa, she still felt a little hurt.
After Adelaide left, Hermosa asked Ivy to ask Clarissa to have a talk in the café.
The next day, Hermosa sat in the store opposite the café early in the morning. She and Clarissa agreed to meet at ten o'clock. Now, it was after twelve o'clock. She saw Clarissa walking around impatiently, and then talking to someone on the phone. It looked like she was in a bad mood.
Hermosa just wanted to threw a wet blanket over Clarissa. When it was almost time, Hermosa and Ivy slowly walked into the café.
Hermosa saw the impatient Clarissa at a glance and elegantly walked towards her. Clarissa then also saw her. She was no longer anxious and walked to greet Hermosa with a smile.
Hermosa put on a long face. She asked Ivy to order something to drink and then looked at Clarissa without saying anything.
It was Clarissa who could hardly retain her composure. Hermosa's gaze made her hair stand on end. She asked, "Grandma, what is it that you asked me to meet today?"
