Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 38

Facing so much money, no one can stand still.

Moreover, Avin even promised them that after he became the president, every minority shareholder not only would be able to work in the company, but also would receive a high salary.

With so many tempetations, they finally agreed to the deal.

Koby did not expect Alvin to offer nice deals while applying pressures on these shareholders too. He apologized again to Antonio, saying that it was his fault for letting small shareholders leaning towards Alvin.

Antonio knew his uncle was not that easy to deal with. Using both the soft and tough measures was his style. He smiled and asked the man if the contract of the transfer had been signed.

The small shareholder's brain was already dizzy by alcohol, so he answered whatever Antonio asked.

When they got back to the company, Antonio got the news that although they had a deal already, the shareholder had been reluctant to sell at that price, so he was still procrastinating to let Alvin increase the price he would offer. Getting that information, Antonio cheerfully let Koby buy all of those people's shares, even add one more offer than Alvin’s deal:

with the same price, the transfer of shares would last only for five years!

Those shareholders were super happy with this deal, so they immediately signed the contract with Koby, just in case Antonio would go back on his word later on.

At home, Adelaide and Hanna got nothing new even after discussing about how to make Clarissa expose herself for the whole morning, so they randomly ate a little for the lunch and went back upstairs.

During the meal, Damla looked somewhat anxious. She tightly squeezed her apron and opened her mouth several times, but she did not know how to say it properly.

They were both thinking about Clarissa, so they did not notice Damla’s weirdness in time!

Otherwise, what happened later would be avoided!

"Adelaide, why don't we let some women deliberately bump into Clarissa to make her fall onto the ground. It would be obvious that she was not pregnant when she did not bleed later!"

Hanna suddenly got an inspiration when walking back and forth in the room and started to use hand gestures to present her idea.

"It's just that we have to do it when Antonio was there too, which would be harder!"

Antonio rarely went out with Clarissa, not even to mention shopping and hanging out with her.

It would be kind of hard to fake a coincidental encounter.

Adelaide frowned upon this idea,

"How is this a test, it's a gamble. Bleeding means that she is pregnant, no bleeding means that she is not pregnant.

If she does bleed, doesn't that mean the baby will be gone too?"

Though she hated Clarissa, she did not want to murder her baby. Moreover, she was also a pregnant woman. Adelaide cherished her baby so much, so did she cherish other babies.

No matter how much Clarissa and she hated each other, the risk of a miscarriage made her disapprove this idea.

Hanna asked dejectedly,

"So what can we do?"

For a moment, they got silent again in deep thought.
