Koby’s accidental death hit the headlines today, and the police quickly blockade the scene. It was quite abnormal that an ordinary person’s death could make front-page news of all the newspaper.
Antonio sat in the sofa, holding the newspaper of Koby’s death in his hands. “Mr. Antonio, what about comparing your signature with the signature on the files, and you’ll see if the signature on the transfer voucher was forged.”
He was reminiscing his loyal secretary whom was trained by himself. Koby helped him a lot with the emergency of the transfer voucher. He habitually depended on Koby’s assistance and suggestions.
After Koby reminded him, he instantly made a comparison between the two signatures. When he raised his head up to find the bandages around Koby’s head, he ordered Koby to get back home to have a rest.
“Antonio!”
The anger on Adelaide’s face pulled him from his thoughts, as he subconsciously ordered, “Get out.”
Then both himself and Adelaide was dumbfounded.
Adelaide thought he hated to see her face, but Antonio just recalled that every time he said “Get out”, Koby would anxiously apologize, “Sorry, Mr. Antonio. I failed to stop him.”
Then he dropped his reminiscence and rose to his feet with one hand on her shoulder. Parting his lips, he glimpsed at Adelaide as tiredness spread across his face.
“Antonio, is it true of the news today?”
Damla rarely bought newspapers, but she brought home one this morning, from which Adelaide got the explosive news.
Koby was dead!
Impossible! He pleasantly told her not to afraid of Clarissa and her mother yesterday. She couldn’t believe now he’s gone!
“Antonio, say it, tell me it’s just another prank of you!” She clenched her fists so hard that the nails stuck into her skin, but the physical pain was nothing to the pain of losing Koby.
In her one-layer pajama and slippers, she hastily rushed here as soon as she got the news.
Antonio stroked her hair in sympathy and promised her, as well as Koby, that he’d find out the murderer.
It was Clarissa! Adelaide screamed on the inside.
However, Antonio didn’t think so. His best assistant was murdered as soon as he was accused of embezzlement. Plus, it was weird that there were no security cameras or witnesses around where Koby got killed. After the media’s hype, it was harder to find out the murderers.
Concerning the boss of the Baron Group, Koby’s death was known to all now, not to mention the murders.
Outside the police station were plenty of reporters and journalists who were eager to get the first-hand updated clues of the case, which would tamper their work on the case.
