Seeing Adelaide walking towards Antonio weakly, Clarissa knew that the former was a softhearted woman. She didn't talk with Antonio and left in a hurry.
After they came back home in the evening, Adelaide had a high fever. And the doctor said that she couldn't take medicine because she was pregnant, so he helped her put a fever-cooling paste on her forehead.
After Koby died, Antonio realized that lives were vulnerable. In the morning, he had seen Adelaide talk with Clarissa, and then Adelaide became anxious.
It was rainy at that time. He had just thought that Adelaide was sad because of Koby's death, so he didn't pay much attention to it.
Adelaide didn't eat dinner. When Antonio went upstairs and came back to the bedroom, he found that she had a high fever.
After the doctor left, he held her hands and sat down by the bed, and then he begged her to wake up quickly. However, what had happened was totally a nightmare for her.
She felt uncomfortable, so she went to bed after they came back home. However, as soon as she fell asleep, she saw Koby in her dream. She could see that the long stab wound on his neck was still bleeding; his hands stretched out to her. She felt a bit scared, so she turned back and wanted to run away. However, she couldn't run fast. After a while, Koby caught up with her quickly.
When he got close to her, she heard that he was asking in whispers for help, "Help! Help! Help!"
Adelaide felt scared. She covered her ears with her hands and then ran forward frantically, but she felt her feet were too heavy to move.
She heard that Koby was keeping asking for help, and she could even smell the blood flowing from his body along the way. She tried her best to shout loudly, but she couldn't make it.
She felt more anxious and scared when she finally found that she couldn't cry out or run away fast.
Koby's voice had been lingering around her! She closed her eyes subconsciously, but there was still a strong smell of blood.
"No! Koby! No!"
She screamed and suddenly sat up from the bed.
Antonio held her in his arms quickly and touched her forehead with one hand. There was sweat on her forehead, but she didn't have a high fever anymore. So he was relieved.
Adelaide hugged his waist tightly with her arms. She seemed to have not woken up from the nightmare and kept breathing heavily. Antonio finally realized that there was something wrong with her, so he asked, "What's the matter, Adelaide? I heard you call Koby just now."
Adelaide took a deep breath and nodded, and then she told him that she had had a nightmare just now.
Antonio listened to her patiently and then patted her back gently to comfort her. Adelaide felt better. But when she closed her eyes, she would see Koby again.
"Don't be scared. You attended the funeral of Koby this morning, and you have a fever because you haven't taken a good rest for a few days, so you had a nightmare. " He helped her wipe her sweat with his sleeve.
Seeing that she was still scared and anxious, he suddenly held her chin gently with his hand.
And then he got close to her face slowly with a smile. Adelaide felt nervous and then leaned against the headboard of the bed because he kept getting close to her.
"How can you think about another man at night? I have to punish you."
