Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 81

Dr. Chang understands the feelings of the patient's family. Just now, she also learned from Cody about what happened. She got mad at Cody. Pregnant women couldn’t donate blood. Although Dr. Chang also wanted to save the patient, the patient shut herself off and didn't not want to wake up. Dr. Chang sighed, "How about this? You put on protective clothing and go in with me. You try to talk to her. If she’s willing to wake up after hearing your voice, I will have the ways to save her."

The doctor would have asked the patient’s family to sign a surgical risk agreement before the operation, but what caused the patient a miscarriage was due to blood donation. Besides, now the patient had shut herself in her world. So the hospital still had something to do with the accident.

After Antonio heard this, he nodded. Then a nurse led him into the operating room. Only then did he know the facilities inside. Adelaide was placed behind the curtain on the left. He changed into protective clothing, and then followed the nurse to Adelaide's side.

There were various instruments which Antonio didn’t know on Adelaide’s body. He looked up at the screens on both sides of her. The undulating electrocardiogram on it declared that she was still alive. Antonio walked to the other end of the doctor. He squatted halfway. At this moment, he saw Adelaide's fingers also being pinched by an instrument.

Antonio forcibly endured the pain. It was like that there was a knife cutting his heart. Besides, he could feel the pain clearly. He swallowed, pretending to be calm, "Adelaide, why are you still sleeping? Wake up. Let's go home!"

The blood underneath the person who was lying on the operating table had already dried. The whole pair of pants was dyed read by her blood. When Antonio saw it at first glance, he was shocked. He didn't know what kind of terrible torment Adelaide had experienced before she closed her eyes. The red blood made him ache.

Antonio licked his dry lips. He didn't know how to let Adelaide regain the confidence to live. He looked at her sweet face. Under the shining of the operating lamp, the undried tears on her face were like a blade, which pierced his heart. His heart was wrenching!

It was an invisible pain. Without blood or wounds, it corroded his heart bit by bit.

"Adelaide, Adelaide! Wake up and look at me! I order you to wake up and look at me!"

He cried out in front of so many nurses and doctors. His tears fell down the back of her pale hand, but the person on the bed still did not wake up. Antonio felt powerless, kneeling down beside the bed.

Why did he leave her alone just now? Why did he leave her alone in the hospital? Why did he believe in Oscar? He hated his incompetence, and hated that he made the same mistake again. He obviously knew that Clarissa and Flora were so mean and planned to hurt her, but he still left her alone. He should have stopped this happening.

Antonio banged his head. He thought himself so smart. Others would also fear him. But what had he done? He failed to save his child, and now he even couldn’t wake Adelaide up.

Dr. Chang couldn't bear his self-harming behaviors. She grabbed his arm, "What the patient needs the most now is you. It is useless to blame yourself. Try to talk to her. Although she doesn't want to wake up, she can hear you."

Antonio raised his head, tears still on his face. He looked at the doctor blankly. The doctor nodded at him, patted his shoulder, and motioned for him to cheer.

Antonio wiped away the tears and whispered softly in Adelaide's ear.

Before he could see Adelaide's reaction, Dr. Chang happily told him, "She moved! Keep saying. What have you just said? Continue!"

Antonio pursed his lips. His eyes dimed a little. Dr. Chang didn't know what he said, which had such a great effect. So meanwhile, she also hurt him invisibly.
