Chapter 616
Anthony sat on the sofa and stared at the person lying in bed.
Sure enough, the slender woman could not handle her torment.
After a while, Anthony got up and sat on the edge of the bed, hovering over and covering Anne’s little face as if there were a layer of gray film. Next, he touched her little face with the back of his hand, which was tender and slightly hot.
Anne, who was sleeping, felt comfortable and rubbed her face against Anthony’s hand lightly. Not only did she not resent his slightly rough skin, but she reached out and grabbed his hand, resting her face on it as if she was afraid that he would run away.
Bianca just waited there until it was dark and the lights were on, yet Anthony was nowhere to be seen.
She had no choice but to call Anthony again, “Anthony, when are you coming? The people from the Civil Affairs Bureau are going to get off work. If you can’t be on time, can you speak to the head of the Civil Affairs Bureau first?”
While on the phone, Anthony stared at Anne’s small face and how she appeared pitiful as she grabbed his hand, saying, “Let’s get the marriage certificate another day. I can’t go there now.”
“What? Why?” Bianca could not help asking, “Didn’t you say… the matter was troublesome? Do you want me to come over?”
“No. You should go back first, and I’ll find you when things are done.” Anthony hung up the phone.
Bianca froze, and her cheeks were hot as if someone had slapped her. Then, she screamed in anger,
“Do you actually have no time, or are you being occupied by that b*tch, Anne, and can’t get away?! Why are you doing this to me? How can you hurt me because of Anne? I’m going to kill her!”
Dorothy was shocked. Bianca had never lost her temper at Anthony like this. Soon after, she took Bianca’s phone and found that the call had ended long ago.
Bianca got up with her bag in her hand and left the Civil Affairs Bureau in embarrassment, rushing into the parking lot. Then, she kicked the door of her car hard, cursing, “Go to hell! Go to hell! Go to hell!”
Dorothy hurriedly pulled her. “Stop kicking the door! Doesn’t your leg hurt?”
“It hurts… My heart hurts so much. How could Anthony treat me like this?” Bianca had never lost her cool to this extent and felt so miserable. She had waited for a day, thinking there was hope, only to wait for a call from Anthony to break their agreement!
Bianca’s dignity, pride, and grace had all been trampled on!
