President Williams Woos His Ex-wife Again novel Chapter 20

Advanced uterine cancer?

Prepare for the funeral?

The sounds rang in his ears, and in the quiet air he heard his own sharp heartbeat, again and again, as if it was going to burst out of his chest.

“What did you say?” Aaron's expression suddenly changed and he rushed over to grip the doctor's sleeve, “Who are you saying is dying?”

The doctor must had made a mistake. How could Beth get uterine cancer? She was lying! Aaron didn't believe that Beth was dying! Maybe the doctor was bought off!

The doctor advised him, “There's not much time for the patient. I know it's hard to accept, but she's terminal. Family should accompany her as much as possible for the last few months so that she can go happily.”

Then without waiting for Aaron's reaction, the doctor pulled out his sleeve and left.

Aaron went rigid and he could barely breathe. He was wrapped in fear in a moment.

He murmured, “Beth…”

Was she really going to die?

She said she was dying and had uterine cancer ...

She didn't lie to him?

He was not as happy as he thought when he knew Beth, who he hated so much, was dying.

Go happily?

How could he make this woman die happily?

How could she die happily after she hurt Dora and blinded Kathy?

Impossible!

He could not let her die. She had to live to atone!

He didn't want her to die, just to make her live in hell!

He was not being kind to her, but the woman should live to suffer.

When Beth was pushed out of the emergency room, he came over and followed.

Beth cried in pain, “Little brother…”

Aaron wanted to wake her up and choked her neck asking who the little brother was. Was he her lover?

Aaron followed Beth into her ward.

Samuel kept calling him, “Boss, Miss Johnson said she is scared and wants you to be with her.”

Aaron sat by the bed, looking at Beth motionlessly with his scarlet eyes. His head told him she had nothing to do with him, even if she had terminal illness. Kathy was much more important for him. He was supposed to leave.

“How is Mrs. Johnson?” He spoke with a raucous voice.

Beth looked at him in shock.

He had… known it? He knew about her uterine cancer!

But why was she not feeling comforted by his words, but frozen out of breath? He didn't show slight sympathy for her even if he knew her sickness. He even asked how many men and abortions she had! Did he think that was how she got uterine cancer?

She burst into tears. The pain on the shoulder was nothing compared to her broken heart.

She never deserved love. Even if she was dying, she could never expect slight warmth from him.

She started to laugh, first in a whisper, and then into the unrepressed, bleak laughter.

“Talk to me!” Aaron's face went dark. Beth laughed to tears and was almost breathless. “There is no adulterer. All I had was my little brother. I've been with him and aborted for him. He was the only man I loved.”

Although she knew he would misunderstand it, she looked at his eyes desperately and defiantly.

Aaron was irritated directly.

Any man who was betrayed would be furious, not to mention Aaron, the president of Williams Group, fortune-favored and arrogant.

“You shameless bitch!” Aaron's anger was unchecked, “How dare you to cheat on me? You're a whore deserving to die from uterine cancer. You'd better die now! Right now!”

Aaron roared, nearly consumed by anger.

He thought she had uterine cancer because he had forced her to have an abortion and he was thinking to compensate her! It turned out she slept with another man and had an abortion for him, too.
