President’s Sweet Wife novel Chapter 918

Clinton waved, “You can leave now.”

York bowed to leave.

When he left, Clinton sat there for a while longer, then got up and walked back.

It was a large, antique house with several rooms in the front and a large garden at the back.

In the garden, there were mountains and rocks, many beautiful flowers, and plants, and even several ancient trees with hundreds of years of history, which has a rare ancient charm.

Clinton walked down the garden’s gravel path to a middle rockery and stopped.

Then he pressed it a few times. Suddenly, a crack in the rocky rock opened and it was the entrance to a tunnel.

He followed the entrance and went in.

It was damp and cold inside, and there was a chill in his face.

A winding stone road lay underfoot. He continued down the road for a minute or two before his view widened.

It was a large stone house, surrounded by ice, and in the middle of the house stood a transparent crystal coffin.

If anyone else had been here at this moment, they would have been surprised.

For in the crystal coffin lay an old man with white hair.

What was surprising was not that, but that the old man bore some resemblance to Queeny.

But her hair was all white and her face was lined, so she must have been at least 70 or 80 years old.

She lay there quietly, her face serene. Clinton walked over to her, looked at her sleeping face, reached out and gently stroked her hair.

“Evelyn.”

He murmured.

It was a very eerie scene. A young man was calling an 80-year-old woman by her nickname, Evelyn, affectionately into her coffin.

He did not seem to be disturbed at all. He bent his lips slightly and looked at her, “Just give me a little more time, and I’ll soon be able to wake you up, Evelyn.”

Of course, the old woman closed her eyes as if there were no life at all.

Little by little, he lovingly smoothed her hair, saying to himself, “The thing I couldn’t get, that guy can get it back for us. Evelyn, once I’ve collected twelve pieces of the Celestial Books, you’ll wake up and I’ll show you the world, okay?”

“Do you have any idea how different this world is from the one we lived in? There are many, many new things that you will enjoy when you wake up.”

“Evelyn, I love you, and I will always be here for you.”

He bowed and kissed her lightly on the forehead.

Then he turned and left.

And at this point, on the other side.

Having cleared the Zircon Association’s legacy, Archie McCarthy and Natalia had no reason to stay.

Besides, they could not stay away all the time because they were busy at home, so they prepared to go back.

The McCarthy Family and The Bissel family used to be close friends, but their relationship became stiff due to interests. Everyone expected a war between the two families sooner or later.

But they did not expect that through this time of cooperation and contact, they not only did not have contradictions, there was also a strange tacit understanding between the two sides.

Natalia could tell Archie McCarthy didn’t hate Felix as much as he used to.
