Chapter 174
Today, he had a long, intense discussion with Irene, thinking she would understand after his explanation. However, he didn’t expect her to be so strong–willed and unwilling to let go. After explaining things to her, he didn’t return to the botel. Instead, as if driven by some unseen force, he found himself at the hotel where Yasmine was staying, lingering at the entrance for a long time, coming to terms with many things.

“Yonas, go back. We’ve already broken up, Yasmine said with a cold expression. It had happened too many times, her heart was already torn apart. Outside, rain poured downs violently, while inside was warm, yet she felt icy cold all over.
Yonas couldn’t stand seeing Yasmine like this, cold and distant like a robot. He pulled her into his arms, and Yasmine struggled fiercely, but he only held her tighter.
“Let go of me!” Yasmine demanded.
“No.“Yonas said firmly, without leaving any room for doubt.
Being held so tightly, Yasmine found it hard to breathe. The suffocating embrace unexpectedly made her feel safe. She stopped struggling. breathing in the scent of cedar from his overly warm chest. Her forehead rested against Yonas chin, it was burning hot. She nudged Yonas, “Let me go frut

Yonas obediently put the thermometer in place. He felt dizzy and his eyelids were heavy. He didn’t want to lift them.
After time passed. Yasmine checked the thermometer, seeing it read 39 degrees–high fever! She immediately began to put on her clothes, “You have a fever, we need to go to the hospital.”
“No.” Yonas said, leaning lazily against the sofa
Yasmine frowned deeply, “How can you not go to the hospital with such a high fever?”
“Time” He didn’t want to go anywhere, just wanted to stay a little longer with Yasmine,

Yasmine hesitated for a moment, then poured him a glass of water, “If the fever doesn’t go down later, we’re going to the hospital”
Seeing how insistent she was, Yonar chuckled, “Are you worried about me!”
“Even if it were a stranger with a fever, Ed suggest they go to the hospital,” she said awkwardly.

“No, just two hours.” “Yasmine replied calmly.
Yonas propped himself up and walked over to Yasmine, just about to reach for her, but she dodged it. “Now that you’re awake, you should leave,” Yasmine said

Chapter 174
In another hotel, Irene stared angrily at her phone’s call log. Once again, she couldn’t get through. Not in the hotel–where could he possibly be? He must have gone to see Yasmine again. She threw down the cup next to her with a bang, finally feeling a bit calmer.
The next morning. Yasmine received an unexpected call from Irene. “Got time for a cup of coffee?” Irene asked.
“What’s up?” Yasmine inquired.
“Let’s talk in person,” Irene replied, and before Yasmine could decline, she rattled off a time and place and hung up.
Yasmine stared at the phone that had just been hung up, feeling a bit puzzled. What did she really want?
In the cafe at Saint’s Haven, Yasmine walked through the door and immediately spotted Irene sitting in a corner, sipping coffee. She approached the table, noticing an iced Americano already ordered for her. “Thanks, but what is it you want to talk about!”
Irene flashed a gentle smile, giving Yasmine a once–over followed by praise. “You look so different from when I last saw you. Participating in such a grand competition, you’re really impressive. Don’t be nervous; I’m here just to cheer you on.”
Yasmine wasti’t naive enough to believe that was all Irene had in mind. She placed her cup back on the table with a subtle smile. “I’ll do my best, but did you really need to meet just to cheer me on?”
Irene laughed sweetly, like a blooming flower, “Look at you, why do you always have such hostility towards me? I thought you would have known why I came to you by now”
