A dazzling glow flashed into existence, blinding Rocky for a moment and causing him to throw his hand up to shield his eyes against the brilliance. He waited until his eyes got used to the glow before slowly lowering his hand. Standing before him was a spirit-manipulated beast with dragon-like features, cloven hooves, and one horn. The rainbow-colored glow shone around its body, and atop its one-horned head was a golden crown.

"Is this the Rainbow Glow Unicorn?" Rocky tried to remember the detailed description of the Rainbow Glow Unicorn, which he learned from the Beast Encyclopedia. Inspecting the beast in front of him, he recognized many similarities from the book. Rocky became convinced that he was looking at the legendary spiritual beast named 'Rainbow Glow Unicorn'. With the recognition came a flutter in his gut.

That flutter of anticipation grew to downright excitement as Rocky noticed that this was a nonage Rainbow Glow Unicorn. It was impossible for him to capture an adult Rainbow Glow Unicorn with his current strength, but he could manage this nonage one. Just the thought of owning such a legendary creature made him grin.

Squinting, Rocky noted that this nonage Rainbow Glow Unicorn was at the second grade of the two-star level, which was close to the strength of an Earthly-staged spirit manipulator. When the Rainbow Glow Unicorn smelled the fragrance of the magical saliva, it stopped and turned around. Head down, it stared at the vial, all but ignoring Rocky. After some hesitation, it walked slowly toward the bottle. When it got close, the unicorn stopped and shot a wary look at Rocky.

"Don't worry! I won't hurt you, good boy!" Drawing from his spiritual power, Rocky comforted the beast while sending out spiritual traces from himself, traces that said he was a friend and he could be trusted. Rocky was glad for the Beast Taming Skill he learned from Sheridan. If not for that, this chance for a legendary capture might have been lost.

The Rainbow Glow Unicorn appeared convinced by the release. It sidled up to Rocky. He stroked its head, whispering soothing words and projecting more spiritual traces. The Rainbow Glow Unicorn lightly shook its head and released a pleasurable sound.

Rocky released a drop of magical saliva onto his palm. He extended his hand until it was under the Rainbow Glow Unicorn's nose. The Rainbow Glow Unicorn tilted its head and looked at Rocky. Then it peered at his hand, and back to Rocky again. "Go ahead." Rocky nodded at the unicorn. "Good boy. Take it."

The unicorn stuck out its tongue and licked the magical saliva from Rocky's palm.

After having a taste of the magical saliva, the Rainbow Glow Unicorn gave out pleased groans. Rocky smiled at the love the unicorn was showing for the magical saliva. The unicorn fixed its eyes on the bottle in Rocky's hand, eyes filled with desire.

"If you come back with me, you can have this every day." Rocky shook the bottle a bit, making the saliva shift, tempting the unicorn. Sheridan had told him spiritual beasts had intelligence like human beings. Taming a spiritual beast required the skills and wisdom to win its trust with kindness and patience. While trying to tame a spiritual beast by mere force would only bring the opposite result.

The Rainbow Glow Unicorn seemed to understand what Rocky said. It retreated a step. Rocky froze, uncertain if he would succeed. This was the first time he ran into a spiritual beast and tried to communicate with it. Nervousness fluttered in his gut like a living thing.
