If it wasn't for Selena's luck, several crises had nearly destroyed her.
From the moment Angie appeared, the banquet hall was plunged into silence. Selena hit Angie so unexpectedly that even Dominic, who was closest to Angie, did not react.
After two crisp, loud slaps, a dead silence fell over the room.
The first to come back to her senses was naturally Angie who had been hit, she felt the burning pain on her cheek, her face twisted as she glared at Selena, almost mad with anger, "You dare to hit me?!"
Selena touched her palm which was sore from the beating, and smiled lightly, "You deserve it."
Angie raised her hand and was about to beat Selena, Luke looked over and sneered, "Miss Walson, do you want to try and see what happens if you hit Selena?"
Angie met his good-looking face, and the seeping chill in his eyes froze her and made her shiver, and she couldn't bring her raised hand down.
She was in pain and aggrieved, her tears immediately flowed down and she flung herself into Dominic's arms and started to complain as usual, "Brother, Selena hit me, you help me hit her back and drive her out of the Walson family."
Dominic watched his sister being beaten, the anger in his chest almost burned to the extreme, he looked at Selena angrily, his voice squeezed out from between his teeth, "Selena!"
Selena's gaze was cold.
Luke's voice carried a trace of ruthlessness, "I see, in the eyes of Mr. Walson, Selena is deserved to be beaten and bullied, and if she retaliates back, it is all her wrong. What is the use of such fiancé?"
Before Dominic could argue, a few of the girls who liked Luke had already spoken up first.
