Chapter 11 Secret Meeting

Adams took a deep breath to calm himself down, but he failed to suppress his anger.

His granddaughter had been married to Joshua for a year. But it turned out that Joshua had been loving another woman!

“So, in Joshua‘s eyes, Lexie‘s needs take priority over his duty for his wife!”

Cecilia smiled apologetically and said, “Lexie must have been in danger. I beg you to forgive Joshua.”

Adams laughed ironically. “In danger? Do you mean stomach ache? Wow, that was funny.”

Cecilia couldn‘t maintain the smile on her face.

Joshua had been out for the phone call for five minutes. Wlien he came back, Cecilia glared at him and asked, “Are you done? Apologize to Anaya and Adams and promise that you will never contact that woman!”

Joshua grabbed the car keys on the table and said, “I‘m going to take Lexie to the hospital.”

Anaya snorted with laughter, “What? Can‘t she go there by herself? Is she dying or something?”

Because of Cecilia and Adams‘s presence, Joshua wanted to be nice to Anaya, instead of arguing with her. He only glared at Anaya and left.

Cecilia was so angry that she was on the verge of passing out, with her hand covering her chest.

Cecilia shouted, “Joshua! Come back!”

Joshua didn‘t listen to her but closed the door.

Adams was wearing a cold face. He said, “Cecilia, you see, this is your son‘s answer. It‘s very clear. Since he loves someone else, Joshua and Anaya should not waste any more time on each other. I hope they can end this nicely.”

Cecilia opened her mouth but, in the end, she didn‘t know what to say.

Cecilia was very disappointed and mad at Joshua.

After Lexie hung up, she immediately asked someone to contact the doctor on duty at the nearest hospital. Lexie had made up a statement about her illness for the doctor to tell Joshua.

A few minutes ago, Lexie had asked Joshua where he was and wanted to have dinner with him. He told her that he had come to the hospital where Adams was staying with Cecilia.

She panicked instantly.

Cecilia was very picky and was dissatisfied with Anaya as her daughter–in–law.

However, Lexie was also clear that Cecilia didn‘t want Anaya and Joshua to divorce.
