Nathan's attention to her came through in every little detail. After they finally got their marriage license, Nathan stared at it for ages. Then, like he'd found a rare gem, he tucked it safely into his pocket.

Nathalie reached out playfully, “Where’s mine?”

Nathan pretended not to hear, “Hmm? What was that?”

“The marriage license, don’t I get one too?”

“Aren’t we supposed to be two peas in a pod? No yours or mine here. I’ll look after it for us.”

“You, a big-shot CEO, handling our marriage license? Isn’t that a bit much?” Nathalie teased.

Nathan admitted, “I heard you need a marriage license to get a divorce. Ours will stay sealed up because we’ll never need it for that.”

Nathalie laughed, “We’ll need it for other stuff though, like having kids or registering things. Just don’t misplace it.”

Nathan, a bit flustered, replied, “Oh, I won’t lose it.”

Nathalie smiled and walked ahead, with Nathan hurrying to catch up. His hand slyly reached for hers.

Nathalie, knowing his intentions, took his hand confidently. “We’re married now; you don’t have to be shy. If you want to do something, just go for it…”

Nathan, feeling bold, leaned in to whisper in her ear, “What about a kiss?”

Nathalie’s ears turned red as she nodded shyly, “Mm-hmm.”

“And… what about that?” Nathan asked again, grinning.

“Which ‘that’?” Nathalie eyed him suspiciously.

Nathan scratched his nose to hide his embarrassment. “The baby-making kind…”
