Reborn, Reawakened, Rekindled novel Chapter 485

Neil was clearly in a bad state, pathetic even.

A pang of guilt fluttered in my heart, but as soon as I remembered that it was all his doing, the guilt vanished.

"Why didn't you let go of me?" I muttered.

"I didn't let go? Then how did you get up?" Neil, with a sour expression, caught my words. "I've been hurt twice tonight. You must take responsibility."

If Norah was home, I might have considered taking Neil to the hospital, paying his medical bills and taking care of him. But I couldn't leave, so now that he insisted on me taking responsibility, I could only transfer him some money.

After I transferred the money, Neil's phone pinged.

He looked at his phone, his expression nuanced, then he looked up at me and asked, "Is that how you take responsibility? By giving me money?"

"Well, what else can I do? I don't have any other way to take responsibility." I replied helplessly.

"Don't you know how to treat wounds?" Neil scanned the room and asked, "Don't you have a first aid kit at home?"

I was pretty sure Neil was not right in the head.

Karina, a full-fledged doctor, was right at his place. He just had to go home and tell her he was hurt, and she would surely treat his wound, more so than going to the hospital.

But no, he wanted me to treat his wound, which was simply absurd.

Of course, I had a first aid kit at home, but it was filled with simple medicines and tools. If Neil's wound was severe, it might not be easy to treat.

Neil sat on the sofa without moving, refusing to leave. He was the kind of person who always stuck to his words, and I didn't know how long he intended to make me comply.

I found the first aid kit and took out some basic medical supplies, then asked Neil to raise his hand so I could assess his wound.

The sight of his wound made me dizzy.

It was deep and gory, hidden by the fabric of his clothes. It was still bleeding, staining my sofa.

Despite his severe condition, Neil valiantly refused to go to the hospital. He really didn't care about his own well-being!

Ryan would definitely be heartbroken if he knew.

Looking at the ghastly wound, my scalp tingled and I didn't dare to treat it. Seeing my hesitation, Neil took over the disinfectant and started treating himself. Watching the blood washed away by the medicine, I winced in pain.

But Neil remained expressionless. Although not entirely proficient, he managed to clean the wound.

"Help me take off my shirt," he suddenly commanded.

His shirt was dirty and bloody, which would make bandaging difficult.

I nodded and waited for Neil to unbutton his shirt. When he didn't, he motioned for me to do it.
