Chapter 40 Being Taken Away
"Let me take you home." Connor subtly raised his eyebrows, his tone weirdly familiar.
Abigail decidedly refused, "No, I can go home by myself."
Then Abigail raised her foot and was about to run away.
Connor looked down at her eager legs, suddenly carried Abigail onto his shoulders and walked to his car door before Abigail could make a step.
The interaction between the two caused a scream of exclamation from the crowd who were watching in the distance. Mostly were the boys who were booing while the girls were envious and jealous, hoping to let Abigail get down and dreaming Connor would take them with him instead of Abigail.
Abigail didn't have time to react. In fact, she had never expected Connor would do this. She was already on his shoulders when she found her feet were off the ground.
"Connor! What are you doing?" Abigail couldn't control her emotions for the first time since her rebirth.
Connor smiled brilliantly, "Take you home." He added, "If you don't want to go back to your home, you can go to my house."
Abigail couldn't move her body at all. Connor's strength was so great that she could only helplessly stay on his shoulders.
In addition to anger, Abigail also felt ashamed. She was once the Lord Commander of the Eastern Military District. She was never treated like this by anyone in the world.
Connor's legs were so long that he carried Abigail to the door of the car in only a few steps and stuffed her directly in.
Luke was so shocked that he opened his eyes wide. He closed the door and got in the car to start the engine immediately for fear of letting Miss Turner get way. She was the one Connor cared for.
The car drove on immediately and left the Stroemia Academy directly.
Leaning on the car and waiting, Norman saw this scene and a trace of disappointment flashed in his eyes. He opened the door to get in and go home.
"Miss Bianca, should we go straight home?" the driver asked.
Watching the car speeding away outside the window, Bianca gritted his teeth, his eyes full of jealousy and resentment. "Catch up with that car."
