Chapter 1400 Saving Themselves
Kisa nodded heavily. “Yes. We’re getting out of here! You’re going to see Gracie, and I’ll see Gilbert.”
Boom!
Unfortunately, just as she said those words, a loud noise sounded again, and the spiral staircase collapsed. Those who had rushed up to save themselves all fell to the ground. One unlucky guy was even directly buried under the stairs. The hall was filled with painful screams and cries.
Arthur and Jacqueline, who had just arrived before the scene as they helped Mrs. Mullen Sr. over, were too scared to speak
After the staircase fell, the entire hall started to crumble. The ground kept shaking, and loud noises were coming from all directions. The ceiling, the bricks, and the lights began to crash down one after another.
Kisa could hardly stand still in that situation and had to dodge the falling bricks. She then had no choice but to separate from Kelvin. The two tried their best form getting hit by all the debris. Suddenly, half of the roof caved in, and Kisa narrowly escaped being buried under the rubble.
“Careful!” Kelvin shouted and pushed her out of the way.
Kisa stepped back hastily. The ground was shaking, and she staggered for a long time before her back touched a wall, saving her from a fall. She then noticed that she had dropped her phone while narrowly escaping being buried. It was 6 feet away from her. As she went to go pick it up, tons of rubble and debris fell from above, directly burying her phone underneath.
The rubble seemed to have separated her from Kelvin, and she was instantly plunged into darkness. Kisa’s heart sank. She pressed herself tightly against the wall and yelled his name over and over, but she could not hear anything except the sound of the ceiling falling.
Kisa did not know what was going on with Kelvin at that time. She was afraid that all of them had been buried alive since she could not hear the slightest sound from them, not even the cries of the Mullen family.
