"Rather than using me to probe Gilbert, why not work with me to take him down?"
For a moment, Anthony was stunned. Then, he peered at her amusingly, "What do you mean?"
"Gilbert's your enemy, but he's also an enemy of mine," Kisa replied with a vengeful and ruthless expression.
The hatred in her eyes grew stronger when she thought of her child who died in her womb. It seemed so genuine that it was hard for people to think that she was putting on an act.
Anthony sat down and continued to stare at her with great interest, "You're truly willing to join hands with me and take him down?"
"Of course. I hate him for sending me to jail and killing my child."
Anthony shook his head and laughed sardonically, "I've never seen such a peculiar pair of husband and wife before."
"We are no longer husband and wife."
"Ah. Tell me, then, how will you help me take Gilbert Kooper down? Just a heads up, if your plan doesn't work, I'll still gouge out your eyeballs and cut your limbs off."
"I can assure you my plan is better than your original plan of probing him," Kisa said.
Then, she added confidently, "If you don't believe me, try calling and threatening him. You'll see how he reacts."
Anthony glanced at her suspiciously before fishing out his phone to make a call.
It took a while until the person on the other end picked up.
Anthony purposefully put the call on loudspeaker. Then, he smiled viciously at his phone, "I have your ex-wife. You better get over here, kneel before me, and beg for mercy. Otherwise, I'll gouge out her eyeballs and send them to you as a gift."
"She's an ungrateful wench, so torture her however you like."
Kisa's lips twitched when she heard his words.
Even though she knew Gilbert did not care about her well-being, hearing him say such cold-hearted statements still hurt her deeply.
Anthony glanced at her as he bellowed into the phone, "You think I'm joking? I'm telling you, I'm not only going to gouge her eyes out, but I'm also going to cut off all her limbs and turn her into... BEEP— BEEP—"
Gilbert hung up the phone before Anthony had the chance to finish his sentence.
Kisa lowered her gaze as her heart sank even further.
When she looked up once more, not a trace of sadness could be seen on her face, only hatred remained.
