After thinking about it for a long time, Logan felt confident in his assumption. 

“Logan, what kind of person do you think I am?” Jorge asked 

“Then let Huxley be your assistant Logan insisted. 

‘So that’s his plan, Mikayla snorted silently. 

“Uncle Logan, how about having Huxley swear to contribute to the company like I did in front of the board? I’m sure Dad and the other directors won’t ignore talent! If he has what it takes, I know Dad would even step down as chairman, Mikayla blurted out, tired of the roundabout discussion. 

“Mikayla, what are you saying?” Mildred snapped, her face twisted in anger. She used to be a quiet child, but now she dares to clap back! 

Logan understood Mikayla’s intention and mused, ‘As the marketing team leader, she must increase sales by 30%. If Huxley wants a higher position, he’ll need to achieve even more. I haven’t been in the business world for a while, but I know increasing sales by 30% in three months is hard enougli, let alone more than that: 

“We’ll see about that, Jorge!” After pondering for a while, Logan shot to his feet and left with Mildred and Huxley. 

Once they were gone, Jorge sighed. 

“Dad, you need to speak up. Uncle Logan will only ruin Husley if this continues. He’s too proud these days,” Mikayla urged, feeling that Jorge needed to stop tolerating Logan and his family. 

“Yeah. Huxley used to be a good kid. How did he turn out like this?” Sylvia wondered, reflecting on Huxley’s past behavior. 

“Jorge, do you want to… Sylvia prompted, not wanting a fallout with Logan’s family upon recalling Logan’s words before he left. 

“Mom, trust Dad! I’ve reviewed the role he gave Huxley, and it’s just right for him, Mikayla reassured Sylvia. 

I didn’t want to be too harsh on Huxley, so I held back earlier. With his current capability, he might not even pass an interview at another company, she thought. 

“Alright, let’s go. We shouldn’t keep the Ludwig family waiting.” Jorge said, holding Sylvia’s hand. Sylvia glanced at Mikayla shyly, reminding him of their daughter’s presence. 

“What are you worried about? We’re just showing how a couple should be!” Jorge smiled. 

Mikayla watched her parents, still in love despite being in their forties, and felt genuinely happy for them.
