Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson) novel Chapter 29

Gerald was meticulous in his efforts to repair Sabrina's brooch.

He pulled out all the stops, using every connection he had to reach Simon, all in the hopes of earning a smile from Sabrina.

Word of his dedication spread through their social circle. The playboy Gerald had turned into a devoted boyfriend for Sabrina.

At Club Felicity, Justin overheard a group discussing the matter.

Nelson remained unperturbed at the poker table, completely focused on the game. His luck tonight was extraordinary, causing Ronaldo's expression to turn sour.

Ronaldo folded his cards and remarked, "Your love life's in ruins, but don't drag us down."

Justin interjected, "What are you talking about? When has Nelson's love life ever been in ruins? He's head over heels for her."

Nelson calmly played a nine of hearts while chuckling, "When have I been head over heels for her?"

"Never had you delivered food to her?"

"I did," Nelson admitted.

"It's quite difficult to control your desire, right?" Justin smirked.

During their last poker game here, Justin had teased him about it, suggesting he might get addicted.

The incident with Sabrina ending up in the hospital was merely a result of medication and had nothing to do with sexual desires.

When Sabrina came to him because of the brooch, he felt no inclination to touch her.

To him, she was just a beautiful decoration. Lacking genuine affection, he found intimacy with her uninteresting.

Yet he couldn't shake the memory of her disheveled state in his arms that night. It took him quite some time under the cold shower to compose himself.

Now, he somewhat agreed with Justin about the difficulty of control, especially when dealing with a reluctant wife. Her aggrieved face could easily trigger a man's desire for conquest.

"Can I swap the building with the gallery in Ephane with yours?" Nelson brought up business matters.

Justin glanced at him. "Aren't you going back to Tucker Group?"
