Chapter 1056 Persistent Pursuit

Little Bunny pushed him away. He stumbled back several steps, staring at her with surprise. Little Bunny's disgust for him was so conspicuous. She noticed the anger in Theodore's eyes when she pushed him away. She knew he would be upset but she didn't want to submit herself under his control again after their divorce. She never thought they would have any further entanglements between them. She would have insisted on a declaration of hate but for his power.
They both stood there silently for a long time without speaking a word until finally, Theodore broke the silence and threatened her in a cold voice, "Little Bunny, don't push your luck."
She couldn't figure a way out to make it clear that she didn't like his power, money, and him as a person from head to toe, and that she wasn't pretending either. She tried calming herself down and said, "Theodore, we got divorced. Can't we just move on?"
Theodore's eyes narrowed.
"We got married because of Nicholas, there was no love between us then or now. I have no feelings for you either way. Believe it or not, I never intended for anything more than sex that time when I was drugged, if there were another guy, I would have let him help me too. Please, just let me go."
"Little Bunny, don't get too deep into a role. It'll do you no good."
"It's not an act. I'm telling the truth about my feelings towards you." She added firmly," Mr Wold, if you don't believe me now or later, then wait and see! I swear in my life that I will never come looking for reconciliation with you again! If I do break this promise may lightning strike me dead!"
Little Bunny made it clear in no uncertain terms. She knew Theodore would be incensed but even so, she wanted closure once and for all. She refused to be tied down by him anymore. She still had her pursuits, her good life, and she might even meet someone she liked in the future. She didn't want to fall into Theodore's hands for the rest of her life, even though he could give her wealth beyond measure. She simply wasn't interested.
Theodore was indeed irritated. Little Bunny's words were so final that they angered him. But, Theodore was not one to easily give up on anything or anyone. The more she rejected him, the more it fueled his determination to make her regret what she said.
"Little Bunny, I've never cared about a woman like this before in my entire life, nor have I ever tolerated any woman like this before you."
Little Bunny bit her lip. She didn't want to be the only one in Theodore's eyes and she even disliked being a special existence in his heart.
"The one I set my sights on will never let go!" Theodore emphasized each word without any room for retreat. He was telling her that rejecting him would be futile.
Little Bunny's eyes turned red as she became truly angry with him and didn't know how to express herself at that moment.
Why did she have to encounter such an annoying person?
He just couldn't accept being dumped by the one he liked.
Little Bunny tightly bit down on her lips while trying hard to calm herself down so as not to lose control or show any weakness in front of Theodore. There was no way she would surrender easily when facing him.
She turned around without saying another word. Theodore instinctively reached out, intending to grip her arm. But he clenched his fist instead since he knew that she couldn't escape from his grasp. He wasn't in the mood to cheer her up anyway.
After getting out of his room, Little Bunny couldn't hide the anger inside of herself. She hadn't thought she would hate someone so much. Whenever she thought about this man, she had a sense of foreboding and desperation as if she was facing the ending of the universe.
All along the way, she tried hard to soothe herself until finally arriving at the filming location. Taking a deep breath, she hid everything behind a smile while walking towards where the director was shooting Addison's kissing scene.
Little Bunny walked up to the director and apologized to him with a smile. "Let me handle it, it was just a misunderstanding."
"A misunderstanding?!" The director just ignored her. "Mr Wold came to take you away, everyone here saw that. How could it be a misunderstanding? Your connections were this strong, you should have told me earlier."
Though his sarcasm caused her discomfort, she continued to explain, "I've made it clear with Mr Wold."
"But I wouldn't dare to offend him." The director turned his head towards her. "Why don't you go rest for now? If we finish late tonight and something goes wrong again, who knows what will happen?"
Little Bunny felt a bit disappointed as she wanted to explain further, but the director got up and left without giving her any attention.
Distraught, she had never had any conflicts with anyone in the entertainment industry before. This time she offended the most prominent TV drama director because of Theodore. It was equivalent to offending half of the industry.
"Miss Little Bunny," Tanya hurried over.
As she saw Little Bunny be taken away by Theodore earlier, she dared not to approach her until now after calling their manager for instructions.
Little Bunny snapped out of her thoughts and said, "Help me remove my makeup, please."
There would be no filming tonight anyway. Since it had been a long, arduous journey to get here earlier today, the director had shown his concern for her just now.
But she was still vexed at what happened today-all her good impressions had been ruined by Theodore all at once.
Tanya nodded and said, "Okay, we're done here anyway."
Then they walked towards the makeup room, where they could hear voices coming from next door.
"No wonder Little Bunny had become so popular in the past few years, she has Theodore as her bank. What a big name, he could affect the whole showbiz with ease." Said a woman, satirical.
"I never have guessed, Little Bunny was always humble and amicable, but she's just pretending. What a creepy woman!" another one echoed.
