Caroline's fans kept demanding that the committee give her a reasonable explanation for what happened. The news spread quickly, and Caroline left the main venue looking intentionally haggard with red and swollen eyes that showed she must have been crying recently.

The reporters continued praising her until one voice suddenly spoke up, "Miss Caroline, don't you know why you missed out on receiving this award?"

"If I knew," replied Caroline firmly, "there wouldn't be so many questions surrounding my situation right now."

"I've heard that these awards place great emphasis on artists' conduct. Even if they win an award but their character isn't upright or moral enough, they can lose their eligibility for receiving it together. For example, Ayers, the international superstar, lost his eligibility for winning due to some scandalous behaviour which came out only one day after he received his trophy."

"I've heard something similar before." admitted Caroline reluctantly, "But how does my missing out relate to any misconduct?"

"Don't you feel guilty at all?" pressed another reporter.

"What am I guilty of? I, Caroline, have been in the entertainment industry for so many years and have never done anything wrong. Why would I feel guilty? Are you deliberately trying to slander me?" Caroline asked coldly.

"Who are you, a journalist from which media outlet? If you continue to defame Caroline like this, I will sue you directly." Caroline's agent defended her.

"Is it defamation? You and Caroline should know very well." The journalist replied.

"What are you talking about? Security! Security!" the agent turned livid.

Caroline had to be careful of her identity and could not lose her temper so blatantly. Of course, it was her agent's role to play the villain in this situation.

She said fiercely, "This journalist is intentionally causing trouble here. Please kick him out. We don't want to see him."
