During that period of time, no matter where she went, Osvaldo would say good night to her every night.
Last night, she didn't receive any messages from the man and had a nightmare. She couldn't sleep well all night.
And tonight... still nothing?
Selena looked at the clock on the wall. The hour hand had already turned to ten, which was her bedtime.
As the hour hand was about to slide to ten, the screen of her phone remained quiet.
Selena looked at the messages the man had sent her before, and suddenly felt a sense of grievance in her heart.
She wanted to call Osvaldo, but then thought about how he couldn't even spare the time and energy to message her, so it must be something important. If she bothered him, it wouldn't be good...
Selena placed her phone on the table, rare for her to not turn it off, and then lay down on the bed.
She faced the direction of the floor-to-ceiling window, her slender back exuding a sense of loneliness for some reason.
That night, Selena still couldn't sleep well, frequently waking up from her dreams.
...
At the same time Selena was having a nightmare, a private plane landed at the airport.
A man dressed in black got off the plane.
He stood under the capital's night sky, slightly lowering his eyelids, his pale skin seeming to have a layer of frost.
Feeling a familiar breath, the coldness and loneliness lingering between the man's delicate eyes dissipated slightly.
After a moment, the man got in a car, stepped on the gas, and drove towards the direction of the villa at lightning speed.
Thirty minutes later, the black sports car stopped outside the villa's gate.
The car door was pushed open, and the black-clad man walked out, his slender figure almost blending into the darkness.
Ignoring everything around him, the man strode towards the inside of the gate.
The security guard guarding the gate was awakened by the sound of the door being pushed open. He looked up and was about to ask, "Who--"
But the guarded look in his eyes suddenly broke off in his throat when he saw the intruder.
The security guard's mouth moved a few times, seeming to want to say something, but no sound came out.
The man's black butterfly-like eyelashes covered his eyes.
That exquisite face, so beautiful that people couldn't look away, now exuded something frightening.
He walked through the hall, pushing open the door like he was the only one there.
However, the man didn't go upstairs immediately to see the person he missed so much that his heart ached. He sat down on the sofa, his slender figure, propping his forehead with one hand and lowering his thin eyelids, trying to suppress a kind of terrifying emotion that was overwhelming him.
...
Selena woke up from a nightmare again in the middle of the night. She sat up in bed and stared blankly in the quiet and warm room. After realizing that she couldn't fall asleep again, she got out of bed, put on her furry slippers, and quietly walked out of the door to get a glass of water downstairs.
The hall was pitch black. Except for the dim yellow light deliberately left on in her bedroom every night, everyone else in the villa had a normal sleeping schedule.
She walked down the stairs step by step, rubbing her forehead with her slender fingers, trying to get rid of the restlessness in her heart.
The hall was quiet. Selena stood on the carpet and was about to turn on the light when she suddenly caught sight of someone sitting on the sofa out of the corner of her eye.
The person's gaze was fixed on her, as if it could never be torn away from her body. It was filled with a frightening heat.

The readers' comments on the novel: Revenge On Love Rats After Rebirth by Olivia Marsh
From the beginning of the story to page 148, the plot is just going in circles about fighting. So ridiculous and waste of time to read! I have no patience for these kind stories. Be more creative if you’re planning to write a book/story!!!...
Beautiful story...
