"Well, in that case, we can decide on a date when their wedding will be held."
Laura swallowed. "So soon?"
"You have all agreed, haven't you? Moreover, they have waited for two years." Both Drake and Emma were excited about the marriage.
Laura nodded, "Okay. So, who's going to decide on the date?"
"We are in Pinkerton, your place, I will leave the decision to you. But be quick."
Sophia was speechless.
Why in such a hurry?
Laura called the preacher over to ask about a lucky day for the wedding.
The preacher soon came and told a date, but Emma didn't like it, "In half a month? It's too long. Isn't there any lucky day sooner?"
Drake couldn't help laughing. Why was his mother even more anxious than him?
The preacher calmly said, "Madam, it's only half a month and you have a lot of things to prepare. Half a month is pretty tight time."
"Drake can prepare everything right away. You don't need to worry about it."
Even if they needed to get married and hold a wedding today, Drake could get everything ready immediately.
It was the first time the preacher had seen someone in such a hurry to get married, so he thought about it.
"How about... five days later?"
"Five days later?" Emma didn't seem to like it, either.
Laura said resignedly, "Emma, since we have agreed to the marriage, we won't go back on our word. Let's have their wedding held in five days. Sophia can spend some time with us before that."
Emma nodded, "Okay. Then the wedding will be held in five days. Can they get the marriage certificate today?"
The preacher nodded, "Of course."
"They are both here. They can get the marriage certificates first."
Too many things had happened and they didn't know what might happen next, so Emma urged them to get the marriage certificates first.
Drake was pleased. His mother indeed knew what he was thinking about.
Laura said, "Sophia, go. The City Hall should be in service."
"Okay."
Sophia got up and went to get her identification card.
Drake followed her.
Bard asked strangely, "What are you doing?"
"Making sure she doesn't forget anything."
Everyone was out of words.
He was really in a hurry to get married.
Sophia felt great pressure. Didn't he trust her at all?
The two walked to her room. It was the first time Drake had entered her room. The last time he was here, they had been downstairs in the living room the whole time.
Somehow, Sophia wasn't used to being alone with him in the same room.
"Bonnie sleeps with you?"
"Yeah."
"You have been a single parent?"
"Yeah."
Sophia soon found her ID and Drake walked up to her and grabbed it from her hand.
"To prevent it from getting lost, I will take care of it and give it back to you after we get the marriage certificates."
