Both Arlo and Sophia were smart enough. They didn't need to put things too bluntly.
"But if your father knew that you are ganging up against your niece, won't he be angry with you?"
"The company is in the charge of Molly. Sooner or later, she will ruin it. I am doing this for the Stein family, I believe that as long as my father is still in his right mind, he won't mind this."
Sophia put down the cup in her hand, "Mr. Stein, since you have come to talk to me, it means you have made enough preparations. So, I am wondering, what will I get from the cooperation?"
Mr. Stein had met with many shrewd businessmen, but Sophia was definitely the most shrewd one among all. Obviously, it was beneficial for her to bring Molly down, but she was asking for more.
"The Stein family will provide goods to yours, and we are willing to give you a three percent discount. What do you think of it?"
A three percent discount meant more profits.
"Since you are so sincere in the cooperation, I shouldn't turn you down, Mr. Stein. I am on board."
Mr. Stein breathed a sigh of relief, although he made some compromises, thinking that the company would be his soon, he was relaxed.
No one knew about this secret meeting and the agreement was reached privately. Molly had been proud and conceited since she was a child and she had never thought that people were ganging up against her.
But Drake heard about it soon.
When they got home in the evening and were eating at the dinner table, Sophia thought about something and was about to say it when Drake said, "Well..."
Seeing that she was about to say something, Drake withheld what he wanted to say and asked, "What did you want to say?"
"Bonnie has spent quite a long time with her grandma. We should take her home now. But she can still stay with her grandma during daytime."
Drake then remembered that Sophia usually spent much time with Bonnie and they had seldom been away from each other for such a long time.
Besides, as a father, he should bond with his daughter.
"Well, I'll let someone pick her home later."
"No, we should go get her ourselves."
Drake understood what she meant. They were the parents and they should go pick up their daughter in person rather than letting a stranger do it for them. He was being insensitive just now.
"Well, let's eat."
Sophia was relieved to see that he did not disagree.
"What did you want to say just now?"
"Nothing important."
Drake could see that she had no intention to talk about her cooperation with Arlo Stein.
He trusted Sophia. If she wanted to tell him about it, he would be a good listener. If she didn't want to, he would not force her.
After dinner, the two went to Emma's house.
Bonnie was pleasantly surprised to see the two.
"Papa, Mommy?"
She ran straight towards them excitedly.
Sophia held her into her arms, "Bonnie, do you miss Mommy?"
Bonnie nodded, "Yes! I miss Papa and Mommy every second!"
With that, Bonnie kissed Sophia's cheek.
She then looked at Drake expectantly.
For the first time, Drake's heart was melted by someone's gaze. Bonnie was so adorable whatever she did.
Drake approached her and Bonnie kissed him too.
