Only now did the agent realize Alfred had another intention.
Seeing Alfred keep silent, the agent pulled him to a corner and whispered, "Listen, Alfred. If you want to pursue her, you cannot always make such silly mistakes. Otherwise, what will she think of you?"
Alfred answered resignedly, "I know I shouldn't have done that, but I cannot control myself."
"You must reset your mentality. I'm afraid she'll refuse to work with you if you keep being like this. Understand?"
No one wanted their time to be wasted.
Alfred reminded himself not to make any mistakes. Otherwise, Helena would look down on him before he gained her heart. It was a rare opportunity for him and he must seize it.
Shortly after, the director sent a staff member to check with Alfred. He replied he was all right.
Seeing Helena again, Alfred was worried, afraid her patience had run out. After all, he wasn't a green hand in acting.
However, when the scene was shot again, Alfred still made a terrible mistake.
The director burst into anger, striding towards him.
"What's wrong with you, Alfred? You are not a green hand anymore. I can't waste my time on you. If you cannot act well..."
Before he finished blaming Alfred, Helena interrupted him, "May I have a word with him, Director?"
The director darted a glance at her, nodding his agreement.
Alfred was taken aback. Much to his surprise, Helena wasn't angry but defended him.
She pulled him to a corner. "I don't know what makes you absentminded, but I've watched your works. You have excellent acting skills. I guess you still haven't reset your mentality. Next..."
Alfred looked at her in a daze but couldn't hear her words. His gaze fell on her parted lips. Her charming face and cute lips tempted him to do something.
Subconsciously, he swallowed, his Adam's apple bobbing.
Staring at him, Helena asked, "Remember what I said?"
Her question brought him back to his senses. "Huh?"
"If not, I can repeat it."
Alfred inwardly asked himself what he was doing. He shouldn't have been like this if he wanted to impress Helena.
"Don't worry, Helena. I won't let you down this time."
Helena beamed at him in trust.
Alfred reminded himself not to disappoint her again.
When he returned to the set, Helena and he did a perfect job.
Only then did Alfred's agent breathe a sigh of relief. That was Alfred's status.
After the incident at the beginning, Alfred acted professionally and accomplished all the scenes earlier than planned.
When the day ended, Alfred walked to Helena. "Thank you so much, Helena."
"It's alright. It happens. Just take it easy."
Alfred still felt embarrassed. He was worried she was impatient. However, she was easygoing.
"I want to treat you to dinner. Thank you for helping me reset my mentality."
Helena smiled at him. "You are welcome, but I'm afraid I can't have dinner with you. I have another appointment."
Then she left the film set.
Alfred's agent walked over. "Why don't you pursue her?"
"We'll stay in Sealand for three months. I believe I'll have plenty of chances." Determination filled Alfred's eyes.
Helena didn't dine out. Instead, she studied the playscript while having a cup of instant noodles.
Suddenly, Travis made a video call to her. Seeing her eating the instant noodles, he asked, "Why are you eating the instant noodles?"
"I like them. I had them often in the past."
"They can make you gain weight easily. Aren't you afraid?"
"I was born slim."
That was one thing Helena was proud of the most. Other actresses had to be on a diet all the time, but Helena didn't need to. She wouldn't gain any weight, no matter what she ate.
