Revenge On My First Love novel Chapter 661

Chapter 661 My Dear Cousin-In-Law

Though Sophia wasn't sure whether Grandma meant it or not, she answered with a smile, "I am so glad to hear that, Grandma. I was childish and often upset you before. Please forgive me."

"Come on, Sophia. I won't be so mean."

Sophia pretended to be cool but deep in her heart, she felt disgusted.

"Well, we' re leaving now, Sophia. Just go back to your work and remember to take care of your sister after she joins the new company."

Sophia nodded, "Grandma, don't be worried. I will do everything for you if you ask."

The old Mrs. Lawson nodded in great satisfaction and left.

Even after entering the elevator, the old lady was still impressed by Sophia, "Sophia is such a good kid. How can I never notice this before?"

Hearing this, William and Bella couldn't help but look at each other.

Urged by her gaze, William went forward and said, "Come on, Mom. Don't tell me you believe what Sophia said."

However, the old Mrs. Lawson answered with some anger, "Or what? How can you be such a fool? Sophia promised to offer Cathy another chance only because she respects me. If it wasn't for me, how could she possibly help Cathy again?"

William cast a glance at his wife, as if saying, "See? There's nothing I can do."

However, Bella insisted and she talked to the old Mrs. Lawson timidly, "But Mom, have you ever considered this could be a ..."

But the old lady stopped her, "Enough! Stop judging Sophia. Why don't we talk about Cathy? Cathy, this time you really upset me. Your sister hoped you could be more professional through this challenge. But look what you did. You will encounter many people like Mr. Collins in your career. What should you do then? Insult all of them?"

Cathy said unhappily, "Grandma, what should I do then? Let that man grope me as he likes?"

"What are you talking about? You should find a polite way to stop him. In the business cycle, many women must have encountered troubles like this. Don't tell me all of them deal with this kind of problem as you did."

Before Cathy could say something, Bella stopped her, "Mom, you're right. Cathy is not good at it and I will teach her what to do."

The old Mrs. Lawson said, "That's right. If she fails again, she will never get the chance to take on the family business."

Staring at her grandma, Cathy couldn't believe her ears but Bella stopped her from complaining again. Cathy could do nothing but feel sorry for herself.

As to Sophia, people at the Riley manor were all proud of her.

Laura said pleasantly, "Sophia, you have convinced your grandma. That's my girl."

"Mom, you know what? I have found it useless to just let Grandma lecture me. I know Grandma wants others to look up to Uncle William's family. Therefore, every time I praise them, Grandma must be happy. Once Grandma is happy, she will believe everything I say. Soon, Uncle William and his family will find me the wrong one to pick on."

Abbot smiled, "I know my girl is such a brilliant girl. She gets that from me."

Laura struck him teasingly, "Stop boasting. Sophia couldn't be so successful if it wasn't for Emma."
