"But my mom is indeed treating Sophia better now, we have to admit it."
"So what? Anyway, I don't think she will mistreat our daughter, don't worry about it."
Sophia took the old Mrs. Lawson to the elevator. The old Mrs. Lawson asked in disbelief, "There is an elevator in the three-story villa?"
"Yes. I've seen several houses and this is the only one with an elevator. I think it might be more convenient for you if the house comes with an elevator."
The old Mrs. Lawson loved it, "Sophia, you are so considerate."
"Grandma, is there anything else that you need and I didn't think of?"
The old Mrs. Lawson patted her on the back of her hand, "No. You're really thoughtful. I love this place."
More importantly, this house was much bigger than the one she used to live in. The place was well-equipped.
Sophia told her that she would get them some help here. They didn't need to do anything. She would also buy the old Mrs. Lawson a car so that she could go anywhere she wanted.
She really pleased the old Mrs. Lawson this time.
"Sophia, you're so considerate."
In comparison, Cathy had never done anything for her. Most of the time, she was even impatient with her.
"Grandma, don't say that. Over the years, Uncle William has been taking care of you. Dad, Mom and I feel guilty. We do send you money, but sending you money isn't as good as being there for you. I feel really grateful to Uncle William and Aunt Bella."
Maybe she was too good at acting or maybe she did think so, the old Mrs. Lawson couldn't find any flaws.
"Don't say that, Sophia. Over the years, you have been managing the Lawson family's properties and you have done a great job. If not for the money you made, we wouldn't be back to buy a house here. I noticed it when I came, this place must be really expensive, right?"
Sophia hurriedly said, "Grandma, money is not a problem. We can always make more money. The most important thing is that you're back home and I can spend more time with you now."
The old Mrs. Lawson was delighted and couldn't help smiling. "Okay, Sophia. I am happy you think so."
When Bella arrived, she happened to see this. She pulled William's arm.
But William said, "Don't overthink it. You think my mom would be bought by a house? It's just a house, my mom won't like Sophia so easily."
Bella was pissed. Why couldn't he see it? Wouldn't be believe it until the last moment?
Bella decided she had to do something.
She walked up to them with a fake smile, "Sophia, you're really thoughtful. You have gotten us so many stuff. But isn't it a bit late? You should've prepared all these before we came back."
Sophia didn't panic but said, "Aunt Bella, how do you know I didn't? I didn't get a chance to take you here before."
