Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 1473

Chapter 1473 A Successful Escape

The following day at noon, Wendy finally roused from a deep slumber. She stretched languidly, feeling utterly rejuvenated from her sleep.

She reached for her phone and began deciding where to dine that day. After all, she couldn't make a hasty decision when it came to dining with Nicole.

As Wendy was browsing the web, she paid no heed to the several messages that Beryl had sent her.

Beryl was perched on the couch while dressed impeccably, his gaze fixed on Wendy's chat box. It was evident that she had no intention of responding to his messages.

He clenched his phone tighter, feeling like a courtier more anxious than the king himself.

After sending the time and location to Nicole, Wendy noticed Beryl's messages. She simply forwarded the time and place to Beryl, then set her phone aside and started getting ready.

Finally, Beryl received a response from Wendy. Glancing at the time and location, he had to concede that Wendy had a knack for picking the right spots.

As for the time...

Well, it wasn't too late. Colton would agree to it.

Beryl nodded, then exited his room and made his way toward Colton's room. He had a key card to the latter's bedroom, so he didn't need Colton to let him in. He walked straight inside after using the key card.

Colton was probably awake by now.

Upon entering the bedroom, Beryl found Colton standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, seemingly deep in thought.

"Colton."

Seeing this, Beryl suppressed his concern and approached Colton, speaking in a gentle tone.

He was probably pondering about Nicole. Ever since their encounter with Nicole the previous day, Colton had been acting differently.

Hearing Beryl's voice, Colton turned around and gave him a slight nod. "What's up?"

If Beryl came looking for him, it probably meant that something had happened.

"I plan on taking Wendy out tonight. You know, the night view here is spectacular. Wendy noticed you weren't in high spirits yesterday, so she didn't bring it up."

Beryl knew that Colton assumed something had transpired on Kendrick's end, hence his query. However, it was about Wendy this time.
