Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 667

Chapter 667

Lydia took the photos and scrutinized them. The pictures were taken late at night. Although they were a little blurry, anyone who was familiar with the people in the images could immediately recognize them at a glance.

It was indeed William sitting in the driver's seat.

The images clearly showed that William was the one who drove the car and ran into Old Mrs. Gardner, and then switched seats with Madeline.

As she flipped through the photos, her hands began to tremble, and she stammered tremulously, "Q-Queenie, where did you get these?!"

Back then, the Gardners almost turned the country upside down when they searched for the culprit who killed Ella. The family was not as powerful as they were now, but they were not far from pushovers then.

"From Bryan's computer," Queenie quipped lightly.

It was an old computer in Bryan's old room. She couldn't get into Bryan's study where he worked, but she was bored out of her mind after being cooped up for so long in the villa. Therefore, she went to the room and used the computer.

Bryan?! What happened back then has something to do with Bryan! Lydia thought, utterly astonished. She pondered over it and figured that it made sense. Back in the day, only the Kohlberg Family had the ability to wipe the surveillance footage clean! Although the Kohlbergs weren't in decline during their heydays, they were still no match for the Gardners.

Lydia looked helplessly at Queenie and sighed. "You shouldn't have done this. It was so foolish of you. Although this plan can distance Nicole from the Gardners, you may be implicated if they learn the truth!"

The current power of the Gardner Family was far greater than that of the Kohlberg Family. What if they found out something—anything...

Regardless, Queenie didn't pay any mind to Lydia's warning as she remained unruffled. She confided flatly, "Don't worry, Mom. Bryan must have taken care of this matter. Why else do you think the Gardners were unable to find out anything despite their intense search?"

She looked at Lydia, grabbed her hand, and continued, "I'm married to Colton, but my status in the family is not stable yet, and then the drama happened. Mom, I must do something, or Nicole will eventually replace me!"

Lydia felt rather suffocated. Eventually, she shook her head and murmured, "Forget it. Even if they find out William was the culprit, I'll have a way to get you out of it."

Queenie didn't take her words seriously as she simply took them as an attempt to comfort her. She also nodded in agreement while Lydia advised her of some things.

Nonetheless, there was something that bothered Queenie very much. "Mom, Bryan treats me so well now because he wants to get me pregnant. These days, I reject him sexually on the ground of miscarriage, but the longer I stay with him, I may..."

She didn't want to be pregnant with Bryan's baby because his wife was infamously known to be the fearsome shrew. If she was truly pregnant with Bryan's baby, and his wife discovered her pregnancy, she would be doomed!

Lydia pursed her lips in annoyance at that thought. They were no match to the Kohlberg Family. After she thought the matter over for a while, she said, "F&R Enterprise's trade fair is in a few days, and Bryan will definitely go there. You should seize this opportunity and escape."

Queenie bit the bottom of her lip and fell silent. Then, she looked up and sighed as she saw the two bodyguards sitting not far away. "Mom, look behind you. Do you see those two men?"

Lydia turned her head to take a look. Indeed, two tall and burly men were sitting not far behind them.

"Bryan ordered them to keep an eye on me," Queenie lamented in frustration.

Lydia was at her wit's end when she learned about her daughter's 'babysitters'. Finally, she considered their current circumstances, and she confided, "Queenie, you need to go to Colton. You're married to him, so you're bound together for good or ill. He will not just sit by and watch you go on like this."
