Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 730

Chapter 730

Colton was very pleased as he looked at his understanding son.

In the end, Nicole made a simple breakfast, and the three sat at the table to eat before heading out.

The two adults did not talk much and went straight to the Anderson Residence.

That day, the Anderson Residence was rather lively. When they visited, William, Lydia, and Queenie were there.

When Queenie saw Colton coming with Nicole, a gleam of surprise flashed across her eyes, but she quickly covered it and replaced it with a look of pity.

Then, she stood up and walked at a brisk pace. As she was about to grab Colton, he silently dodged her advances.

Queenie was startled and awkwardly touched her nose before she murmured coquettishly, "Colton, I haven't seen you for a long time. I missed you so much! I even lost my appetite missing you."

Colton lowered his head to look at Queenie, who was pretending to be gentle. He only responded coldly, "You look quite well and don't look like you have lost your appetite."

Queenie was speechless against Colton's rebuttal, but she quickly regained her composure and hurriedly changed the topic. "By the way, Colton, why are you here today?"

Colton withdrew his glance.

Finally, we can get to business.

Then, he looked up to gaze at William.

The cold stare made William shiver, but he hurriedly regained composure.

After what happened last time, William guessed Colton and Nicole's purpose for coming here.

So, he hurriedly smiled and said respectfully, "Hello, President Gardner. Please have a seat. I'll pour you a glass of water."

Colton felt disgusted by William's over-enthusiastic response, so he said coldly, "No, thanks. I'm here today to ask some questions. I'll leave after I'm done."

William had already prepared for this, and he did not reveal his nervousness. Instead, he said with a playful smile, "Ask away. I will tell you everything I know."

At that, Colton glared at William's fawning expression and frowned in disgust. "Do you have anything to explain about you running over my grandmother with your car?"

The smile on William's face froze instantly, along with his body. William trembled lightly as his voice shook a little, and then he asked, "What are you talking about, President Gardner?"

Colton used his pitch-black eyes to stare at William without a hint of emotion. His dark eyes were like black holes, making one nervous.

"I know about you running over my grandmother. Do you want to keep it private or public?"

Colton's voice was deep and cold, making one shiver when they heard it.

Although Queenie acted pitiful, her face turned pale when she heard Colton's question.

Didn't I only give the Gardner Family the photo of Nicole's mother? Why would Colton know that it was William who ran over his grandmother?

Queenie broke out in a cold sweat as she bit her lip, her eyelashes fluttering.

Did I shoot myself in the foot?

Queenie kept fisting and unfisting her hands.

On the other hand, William was a sly old fox, so he would never admit it without evidence.

Hence, he forced a smile and looked up at Colton. Playing dumb, he stated, "President Gardner, I think you got it wrong. Madeline drove the car that day, so it had nothing to do with me. I did ask her to turn herself in, but she didn't want to, so I couldn't do anything about it. After all, she is my first wife. I couldn't send her to prison with my own hands, could I?"

Seeing that William did not fall for it, the smile on Colton's face became even more pronounced. With a cold gaze, Colton announced, "Someone has already sent the footage. Otherwise, I wouldn't come here. Since you're Nicole's father, I can spare your life."
