Right Person, Wrong Time novel Chapter 759

Chapter 759

It was almost midnight, and the hospital was pitch black and dead silent. The streetlamps were dim, and as the light shone on their faces, it softened their facial features.

Nicole raised her head and stared at Colton. "Is there something you need, President Gardner?" she asked coldly.

When Colton saw how distant she was acting, his eyes darkened. Then, his long and slender fingers gripped her shoulder, eliminating the distance between them.

"Are you trying to distance yourself away from me, Nicole?" he asked.

Hearing his words, Nicole had a faint smile on her lips. Then, she took a step back, keeping the distance between them.

"We were never familiar with each other, to begin with, President Gardner. Hence, there is no such thing as distancing myself from you." Nicole's voice was monotonous as she spoke.

Seeing that she didn't want anything to do with him, Colton looked grim. He slowly stepped forward and hugged her tightly.

"Aren't we familiar with each other?" he asked in return, his handsome face cold.

Looking at his unusual self, Nicole felt her heart shudder. She gripped her knuckles and gritted her teeth, saying, "That's right, President Gardner. We're merely in a partnership. Didn't we talk this out the last time? Why are you still here?"

When Colton saw how distant she was, he suddenly chuckled and thought, It looks like she has decided to cut ties with me.

Then, he looked at her solemnly and confessed his love to her. "You know that I love you, Nicole."

As he spoke, his tall figure slowly closed in on her, and Nicole looked at him with mixed feelings. Then, she put her hands on his chest and refused. "I don't know. It's my honor that you have feelings for me, but that is just in your mind. Being in a relationship requires consent between two parties. I'm sorry, Colton, but I don't love you!" she said seriously, and her eyes were as cold as ice.

Colton's eyes darkened when he heard her words. Then, he swatted her hands that were on his chest and pressed himself against her. Before Nicole could resist, he leaned forward and hugged her back and head with each hand. At that moment, he leaned his face closer to hers, and she could feel his lips pressing against her, making her breathe rapidly.

In that split second, Nicole widened her eyes and let out a muffled scream. She hadn't expected Colton to kiss her.

Even when she was struggling to get out of his grip, Colton didn't budge. The kiss lasted about four minutes until he released Nicole. "You love me too. I can tell by looking into your eyes, you know." He smiled.

Nicole wiped her lips harshly and looked at him with a clear expression. "You are such a pretentious man, President Gardner. I've said it before—I don't love you!"

Hearing her words, Colton squinted his eyes and looked at her. As a person who had been in the business field for many years, he could see through a person's mind. With that, he could tell that Nicole was in love with him. Thinking about it, Colton smiled and lifted her chin. "Stop lying to yourself, Nicole. You love me," he said faintly.

When Nicole heard his words, she sighed inwardly. After all, Colton's feelings toward her were just too much to handle. Then, she took a step backward. Seeing that he was going to close in on her again, she quickly said, "We are at a hospital, President Gardner. Let's not end this conversation unhappily. Otherwise, it will be bad for both of us."

Seeing that he had stopped coming forward, she pondered for a moment before saying to him slowly, "I don't love you, President Gardner. I love is Zachary, and we're getting engaged in a month."
