In the most luxurious VIP private room of Oceanus Club, the beautiful manager, Minerva Litt, was carefully serving a crowd of foreign patrons.
She gazed at the elegant woman who was the head of the foreigners and asked respectfully, “Would you like something to drink, Mdm. Vivien?”
“We have premium red wine, champagne, and whiskey, not to mention the best white wine in all of Eurasia.”
Vivien smiled. “It's not necessary. We brought our own drinks.”
As she spoke, one of her subordinates produced bottles of red liquid from a black briefcase.
There were no labels of any brand on those fine crystal bottles. Unable to contain her curiosity, Minerva wondered if her guests had brewed their own wine.
Based on her many years of experience in the industry, she was perceptive enough to discover upon closer inspection that the liquid in the bottles, judging from its concentration or its foam, did not resemble red wine.
What else is it if not red wine?
Minerva did not have the time to ponder the question as Vivien had already noticed her expression.
“What's wrong? Can't we bring our own drinks?” she asked smilingly.
“Not at all!” Minerva hurriedly replied. “Our employer, Mr. Eduardo, personally informed us that you are an honored guest of our establishment, and we are to unconditionally provide you with the best services. Mr. Eduardo also said that we are not to intervene even if you demolish our establishment.”
Vivien laughed. “All right. There's nothing left for you to do here. You and the rest may leave. One more thing. We don't like being disturbed when we're drinking.”
“Don't you worry, Madam,” Minerva said quickly. “You have my word that nobody will be interrupting you tonight.”
Vivien nodded, satisfied with the manager's response.
Though she could have left immediately after capturing Maisy, she stayed behind deliberately to await Nathan because she wanted to meet him, intending to decapitate him and bring his head back to humiliate Max.
Dupont blurted out, “From our understanding of the situation, Madam, Nathan is not weak. Besides, we are in Eurasia, also known as God's Forbidden Zone. Perhaps leaving quickly with Maisy is the wisest choice.”
Vivien was visibly displeased. “Are you trying to order me around?”
Dupont lowered his head in fear. “I dare not.”
Vivien uttered coldly, “Capturing her was so easy that I didn't even have to come here personally. Do you know why I came here myself? I came here for Nathan. I'm going to exterminate this guy who has been contending against us vampires and behead him to humiliate that b*stard, Max.”
Dupont and the rest did not dare to say anything further.
Being familiar with Vivien's temper, they all knew she would not be dissuaded once she made up her mind.
