Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3272

Max grinned and said, “It seems that after the eternal night has fallen, the humans have become agitated. They can't wait to have a decisive battle with us!”

“Their desperation to fight us is exactly what we wanted,” Gregg said smugly.

“If we can deliver a crushing blow to the human alliance and defeat them, humanity will be unable to recover. Our subsequent invasion of their territory will be unstoppable.”

Herod picked up the wine glass from the table and took a small sip of the red liquid inside.

He smiled and said, “What you all said is pretty much what I was thinking. We must strike a heavy blow against the invading enemy and deter humanity. Then, riding on the momentum of our great victory, we will strike while the iron is hot. First, we will pursue and conquer Ospea and Astoria, before reaching the shores of the vast ocean and subduing the Aplothians. Then we will have become the supreme rulers of the world.”

Max, Gregg, and the other vampire princes all had excited expressions on their faces, filled with anticipation for the future. Each of them passionately chanted, “Fight, fight, fight...” Herod raised his hand. The vampire princes at the scene gradually quieted down. Herod said calmly, “As far as I know, the Human Alliance has divided their forces into two fronts, the East and the West. They are launching simultaneous attacks on us, attempting to strike here and join forces. Who among you is willing to go forth and face the enemy?”

One after another, Max and the princes eagerly volunteered to go into battle. Herod saw the situation and laughed, saying, “There's no need for everyone to argue. I'm delighted to see everyone eager to join the battle, but there's no need for us to go all-out against a mere human alliance. From what I see, it's better for me to make a move.” Max and the others said in unison, “Please give us your command, Patriarch Herod.”

“Since the human alliance is dividing their forces into two, I will also send out two armies to confront them,” Herod said.

Gregg squinted and sneered. “From the sound of it, it seems like you have some insights?” Max knew Gregg had prejudices against him but still spoke earnestly, “The Eternal Darkness has come, and humanity is panicking. They are eager for battle and can't wait any longer. But they'll be cautious as soon as the battle begins. So, I suggest that when we encounter the Human Alliance, we should feign weakness at first and lure the enemy in deeper. When the time comes, humanity will achieve continuous victories, and there will be boundless joy. Continuous victories can cloud their judgment. They will relentlessly pursue our main force, venturing deep into enemy territory. When the time comes and they've all entered our ambush, we'll seal off the exits and attack, eliminating them all at once.”

Gregg's eyes lit up as he listened. He felt that Max, as a former human general, was truly skilled in formulating tactics. He believed that Max's strategy had a high feasibility and was worth giving a try. However, he pretended not to care.

“That's too much trouble, I don't think it's necessary at all,” he said nonchalantly. Upon hearing this, Max was infuriated. “I've already taught you the tactics. Whether you use them or not is up to you. Goodbye,” he seethed. After saying that, he stormed off with a flick of his sleeve. Grinning, Gregg said, “I'm not sending you off!”
