Upon hearing that, Nathan suddenly understood. He turned to look at Novem and said with a smile, “Grandmaster Carden, if it weren't for your help, I'm afraid my life would have been lost. I will never forget the grace for saving my life.”
Novem beamed with joy upon receiving Nathan's compliment. He proudly shouted at Colin as he criticized, “Did you hear that? Even President Cross himself said I'm a grandmaster. And yet, you keep calling me a quack all the time. I've been tolerating you for days now.”
In the past few days, Colin indeed scolded Novem as a quack doctor. He even said that if the latter could not cure Nathan, he would kill him. At that moment, Novem criticized him, but he did not care at all and even laughed. In Colin's view, as long as Novem could cure Nathan, it would not matter if he was criticized or even killed. Upon hearing that, Nathan immediately said, “Colin, how could you be disrespectful to Grandmaster Carden? Apologize now.”
Colin happily apologized to Novem as he said, “Grandmaster Carden, I'm just a rude man and didn't know about your extraordinary medical skills before. I've offended you in many ways, and now I sincerely apologize to you.” Novem smiled happily and replied, “I accept your apology.”
Nathan expressed his gratitude to Novem once again and asked, “What kind of reward would you like in return?” Novem shook his head repeatedly.
“President Cross, please don't assume that I'm someone who admires wealth and glory. In fact, I've long heard about your life's accomplishments and know that you are a great hero of our time. That's why I stepped in to save you. If someone else were infected with King-Class vampires' ancestral blood and turned into a vampire, I definitely wouldn't lend a hand to help.” Nathan said, “I'm flattered! Even so, I still want to thank you.”
He turned to Colin and continued, “Colin, later on, give Grandmaster Carden a hundred million. Whether he wants to establish a hospital to cure people or simply enjoy a carefree life, this is just a small token of my appreciation.”
Initially, Novem wanted to refuse, but he wavered when he heard he could establish a hospital with a hundred million. His medical skills were extraordinary, but he had never had his own hospital. Moreover, he had been praised as a grandmaster by Nathan.
