Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3334

Colin, sitting beside Nathan, sensed something and asked softly, “Chief Cross, do you not like being shone by sunlight? I can pull up the car window curtains for you right away.”

Indeed. After Nathan's constitution transformed into that of a vampire, many changes occurred in his body. For example, his skin became fairer, and his appearance grew even more handsome. His body became much stronger as if he could effortlessly leap into the air, and it seemed like he could easily crush a stone into powder with a simple pinch.

Additionally, his interest in ordinary food has diminished. Instead, he had developed a preference for medium-rare steaks. Direct sunlight would also cause him slight discomfort.

Regardless, Nathan stopped Colin. He gazed at the distant sunset with his head tilted and said calmly, “No need to draw the curtains. Let the light in.”

Colin glanced at Nathan and whispered, “Yes, sir.” In fact, Colin was well aware Nathan's body had undergone quite a few changes recently. Such as, Nathan liked to eat medium-rare steaks with a bit of blood. However, Nathan also sensed that something was wrong.

Hence, Nathan has been forcefully using his strong willpower to change his body's innate desires. His body enjoyed food with blood. Nathan refused to eat it, only having plain oatmeal and green vegetables. His body did not enjoy being directly exposed to sunlight.

Nathan insisted on not drawing the curtains, preferring to let his body bask in the sunlight's warm rays. Colin knew Nathan was a God of War with a strong will. Nathan did not like being controlled by his body's desires. Instead, he preferred to use his own willpower to steer his body.

Therefore, Colin said nothing as he silently followed Nathan's instructions. The convoy continued to move forward. Unbeknownst to them, the sun had already set. The night fell. Some wolves and other wild animals began to venture out in search of food in the night. More shadowy creatures emerged, hunting for prey in the darkness. The most common ones were bondslaves.

Nathan was sitting in the car when he suddenly heard two gunshots coming from ahead. He frowned slightly. “What's going on?” Beside him, Colin immediately answered, “The Elite Eight must've found some reckless bondslaves charging at them, so they shot and killed the bondslaves.”

As expected, Nathan saw two bloodied bondslaves lying by the roadside when he looked out the car window. Nathan could not help but ask curiously, “Encountering bondslaves as soon as night fell... Are there many bondslaves in this area?” Colin said, “Of course.”

“This place was once the kingdom of Anddasland, home to tens of millions of people. The outbreak of the blood virus started right here. The entire Anddasland fell victim to it, and more than half of the humans here couldn't escape. They were infected by the blood virus and turned into bondslaves,” Colin explained.

He added, “When night falls here, wandering bondslaves can be found everywhere. In unfortunate cases, encountering thousands of bondslaves blocking one's route and being surrounded by them is quite normal.”

Nathan nodded. “I understand now. This is the vampire headquarters and also the epicenter of the blood virus.” N
