Salute To The General (Nathan Cross) novel Chapter 3397

Nathan frowned. “Sevan, why are you doing this?”

Sevan, however, said resolutely, “Master! If it's just for my own treatment, having me in the lab, poked and prodded by scientists all day, I certainly couldn't bear it. If it's for you, I'll do it even if it costs me my life. I've decided to return to the research base to continue my treatment. Please, don't try to persuade me otherwise. You must take care of yourself, too. Until the research team develops the enhanced serum, you absolutely cannot reveal your secret. You mustn't let those from Adrune get dirt on you.”

Seeing Sevan's resolute attitude, Nathan didn't try to persuade him further. He, too, hoped for a positive outcome to the situation. It'll be great if the Cross Research Team can successfully develop an enhanced serum that can help us return to our normal human selves.

At that moment, the police had arrived.

Colin exchanged a few words with the police captain.

The captain was taken aback and promptly apprehended Rat and his hooligans. That very night, an operation was launched to crack down on the criminal activities in that neighborhood.

Nathan, Colin, and Sevan found another place to have a drink.

Around midnight, everyone was slightly tipsy. Only then did they leave the bar, escorting Sevan back to Cross Group's research base.

Francis had been anxiously waiting for a long time in the research base. He felt that Sevan, who had abstained from blood for so long, was a ticking time bomb.

If anything were to happen while Nathan took Sevan out, he would undoubtedly be to blame!

He finally breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Sevan returning with Nathan. “Mr. Cross!”

Nathan calmly said, “I've spoken with Sevan. He has decided to stay here and cooperate with you all in the development of the enhanced serum. I hope you and your team will work hard and live up to everyone's expectations. Once you successfully develop the enhanced serum, I will reward you handsomely.”

Francis quickly replied, “Yes!”

After ending his sentence, he invited Sevan to return to the laboratory room.

To be honest, he was quite scared of being in close proximity to Sevan without any safety measures in place.

Havik stood with his hands behind his back, his clothes rustling in the night wind.

He gazed at the Cross Group's research base at the foot of the mountain. He was looking in the direction where Nathan's vehicle had disappeared while deep in thought.

Behind him, seven of his followers stood in a line. They were all dressed in combat gear and draped in black cloaks. The characters for wind, fire, water, earth, thunder, light, and darkness were respectively inscribed on each cloak.

Everyone was equipped with the same long sword.

Those seven individuals were the Seven Swordsmen under Havik's command. They were also the left and right arms of Hawkeye.

At that moment, the Wind Swordsman said, “Sir, this research base belongs to Cross Group. It's said that this research base successfully developed the serum to counteract the blood virus. Moreover, I heard that one of Nathan's subordinates, Sevan, was infected with the ancestral blood virus of a vampire prince, transforming him into an elite vampire. His treatment is taking place in that base right now.”

Havik slowly said, “Even though Nathan just returned to Eurasia not long ago, he eagerly returned to Channing. Then, the moment he arrived in the city, he rushed over to his place. It's clear that he greatly values this research base. Logically speaking, Sevan is just a mere subordinate. There should be no reason for him to care about Sevan so much. Could it be that there's something he cares deeply about in this research base?”
