Chapter Fifty Two Eat Up
Ryan picked up one of the boxes of takeout, scooping some of the chicken onto my plate. “Eat up, baby girl. You’ll need it.”
My face felt hot and I knew that he was right. If the rest of the night went anything as it had earlier. I was going to be sore and desperately hungry afterwards. Jason was busy filling his plate up before he picked up his beer and took a large pull from the bottle
When Ryan was happy with everything he had put onto my plate. I picked up my fork, stabbing into a shrimp before taking a bite. My eyes slipped closed as I chewed. I didn’t know if it was that good or I was just that hungry, but it was the best Chinese food that I had ever had
Opening my eyes, I took another bite of food. This time the rice that Ryan had put onto my plate. It was delicious. The rice, the egg, the carrots, and peas. I hadn’t realized how hungry I was until I started eating and then I couldn’t seem to stop
After a few minutes, I looked over at Ryan, noticing the amused smile that tugged at his lips. I looked down at my plate, sitting up straighter. “Sorry, I was hungry.”
“There is no need to be sorry. I’ve heard that single matings can wear a human out. You’ve mated with three of us.” Ryan said, lifting up his beer and taking a drink of it.
“Is it not normal to share a mate?” I asked, biting my lower lip. Was there something wrong with me and that was why these men felt that I was their mate? I had never been with this many men in such short a time and it still felt like I was in a dream
“No, but don’t let that worry you,” Ryan said, sitting the beer bottle onto the table and reaching out to take my hand in his. “It just means that we won’t have to worry about you if we have to be away.”
“Be away?” I asked, picking up my water and twisting the lid off before taking a drink.
“Yeah, Jason has pack stuff that takes him away from home from time to time. Same with Travis and I’ve got stuff with my band.” Ryan said, stroking his thumb over the back of my knuckles.
The thought of not being with them gave me a sharp pang in my chest and I tried not to think about how I didn’t like that thought. It was too soon, too fast, to be feeling like this about them. We had just met a few hours ago and already I couldn’t imagine not being around them. I didn’t know what I was supposed to say to that so I didn’t say anything
“It’s not that often, kitten,” Jason said and I knew that he was trying to ease some of my worry.
Shaking my head, I sat the water down. Trying not to think about being without them, even if it was just for a few days. “Tell me about your band?”
“You saw us. We play a bit of rock music. Aaron plays up the crowd and Drew has that taciturn guitar player thing going on. I just play the drums.” He shrugged
“Nah, you’re more than just playing the drums,” Jason said, letting out a laugh. “He writes most of their songs.”
