Chapter Eighty-Nine: Getting dressed
“You could join us, alpha.” Travis’ growl turned rougher, thicker as he leaned closer to me. His nose trailed along the side of my neck over the claiming bite that Ryan had left on me before he moved his face to the other side of my neck, doing the same thing to Jason’s claim.
“Travis, she is sore.” Jason said and I felt a pressure move over my skin. A whimper slipped past my lips and the pressure grew stronger:
I didn’t know who to call out to. It made me feel strange and I didn’t understand why. It was like I want ed to do what they wanted, despite what my mind was screaming at me. It made me want to run.
“But she won’t be forever, will you, sweets?” He asked, pulling back so that his eyes met mine. It made me feel so many things, so many conflicting, emotions. That, with the pressure, made me feel like I was go ing to panic. I sucked in great lungfuls of air, trying not to let these feelings pull me under.
I’d dealt with panic attacks before, but it was nothing like this. Nothing that I couldn’t normally push away.
“Baby girl?” Ryan mumbled the words all gruff with sleep. His hand darted towards me beneath the sheet to trail his fingers up to my inner thigh. His touch loosened up my throat, reminding me where I was. He didn’t move his hand up higher, just kept his warm fingers on my skin. Curling them gently into my skin, letting me know that he was still with me.
The touch was just as possessive as it had been last night and I hoped that it meant things would stay the same. Well, as much as they had been last night. There was still so much that needed to be discussed but we could do that later.
“Travis, you are being too much.” Jason growled, coming closer to the bed.
Ryan opened his eyes, looking over at Jason. ‘You’re being too much. It’s too early for the alpha thing and I’m too tired for it.”
I moved my hand down to grip Ryan’s fingers beneath the sheet.
“Ryan.” I whispered his name and he looked at me. That same warm, gentle look in his deep blue eyes.
“Baby girl?” His eyes widened and he nodded. “Jason, the alpha thing- stop. Travis, you need to sit down.”
The pressure pulled off of me and my shoulders relaxed. Jason moved closer to me, sitting down on the edge of the bed. “Oh kitten, I’m sorry.”
Travis pulled back, moving to sit beside me, a long slipping past his lips. “I’m sorry, sweets. I know ! can be a bit much. There is just so much that I want to experience with you.”
