It was a deafening silence in the dead of night. Lily came striding down the path as she approaches the entrance of the old warehouse.
It took her less than fifteen minutes to reach the location. She unmounted her bike and left it somewhere nears the warehouse's fence.
Lily took a few steps in a squat position while checking the vicinity for any suspected danger. Lily pushed the wire-meshed gate as she prepares herself to get inside the warehouse compound.
Someone cautiously sneaked behind and tried to grab her, but Lily maneuvered and had the person on an arm locked position.
She was surprised to see it was John.
"What are you doing here? You are not supposed to be here?" Lily whispered.
"I would love to ask the same question, sneaking on the old warehouse on a Christmas Eve, what is your business here Lily?"
"You should leave immediately John, please," Lily insisted.
"Are some kind of a secret agent?" John interrogated.
:... A spy?"
"...Undercover cop?"
"... Investigator?"
Both John and Lily were startled from the strong blast that came from the inside of the warehouse.
"Do me a favor John, run away from here as fast as you can, stay on a safe distance, and if I come out alive, I will go with you."
John gave Lily a hesitated look while pointing a finger on her. He agreed with the deal and ran away.
Just before another strike hits Rain, Lily was able to slip between them and caught the man's striking arm. They wrestled down as Rain tried to make an escape. Lily was buying Rain some time to escape.
"Run Rain, run!"
Rain rushed as she passed the warehouse gate. She slightly slipped almost losing her balance as she exits the danger zone. Tired and gasping for her breath, Rain finally fell on the second time she slip. She covered the young boy's head as her body touches the ground.
A sound of a screeching vehicle was heard, a car suddenly stopped in front of Lily. The passenger side door opened and Rain saw someone inviting her to take the ride.
Everything was in deaf motion as Rain looks up to the stranger who was offering her help.
The next thing she knew, she was already leaning on the car window from the inside, the young boy was safe sleeping on the backseat. Strong flashes of light were seen from where her elder sister Lily was left.
"Lily..."
