Second Marriage novel Chapter 231

Charlotte was taken into an office by Kennedy, wondering why they could come in casually. Then she heard a familiar voice.

“What are you doing here?”

Hearing that, Charlotte found that the person in the office was Annie.

Unexpectedly she met Annie here. Suddenly Charlotte felt Kennedy’s aunt was ubiquitous.

“Wow, how can you get injured like this?” When Annie saw Charlotte hurt in such a way, she was suddenly frightened.

She was more frightened when she found her got drugged. After all, skin wounds were on the face, neck, arm and leg. There were some wounds of all sizes, which looked shocking and seemed to have experienced a terrible violation.

“Kennedy. Didn't I tell you before that you should protect your wife? Is that how you protect her?”

Kennedy, “...”

Annie accused him. And Kennedy felt he seemed to have not done a good job to protect her. He didn’t think too much, but this time she was covered in bruises.

His eyes became dark and his voice was cold, “Cure her first.”

“Sure, you get out first.” Annie let Charlotte stay, and drove Kennedy out, closed the door to deal with the wound.

“Take off all your clothes, and I'll see how the wound is.”

Since she had already taken off her clothes in front of Annie once before, Charlotte did not hesitate too much this time. She directly unbuttoned her clothes and felt her skin hurt when she took off her clothes.

“Wait a minute!” Annie rebuked and then came forward to have a look, “Who did this? Who is so rude? The clothes are stuck to the wound. Don't pull, I help you with this.”

Charlotte could not see what her back was like, so she could only allow Annie to help her. She pulled the clothes carefully, but she stilled frowned out of pain. She bit her lower lip and did not cry out.

After a long while, Annie said, “All right.”

Charlotte took off her clothes and looked at her back. Annie closed her eyes and told her to sit still while she went to get the medicine.

Annie went out to take medicine, she kicked Kennedy when she saw him outside.

Kennedy was in pain, but only frowned.

“I won't say anything this time. Go in and see for yourself how she's hurt.” With that, Annie went for medicine.

Kennedy sat in situ and thought of Charlotte. In fact, from her exposed wound, he could know how serious her hidden wounds were.

Annie got the medicine and came back. She found Kennedy sat there motionlessly and got angry, “You really have a dead brain!”

With that, she went in. Kennedy had been waiting outside the door, but also waiting for Nathan's news.

Annie got Charlotte’s wound disinfected and applied with medicine. It had been a long time after it had been done. Charlotte was still worried about Maggie. She put on her clothes and got out of bed.

“Thank you.”

“We are families, you are welcome. But your injury cannot touch water for the time being, and take medicine every day.”

Charlotte nodded, “Ok, I'll take care of it.”
