Second Marriage novel Chapter 249

“Never mind, if you don't want to say, I won’t force you.” Manfred took another dumpling and put it into her bowl. “You are too thin. You need to eat more.”

“Well, thank you, Manfred.” Charlotte thanked him and ate another one.

Charlotte absent-mindedly finished her breakfast. When it was time to say goodbye, Manfred felt unease and told her to be careful before he left.

Charlotte got on the bus alone, and when she was on the bus, she was lost in thought.

How would she tell Diana about it?

All the way Charlotte was in a muddle and did not know she had missed her station. She asked the drive to stop until she found that she had missed the station and then got off.

After getting off the bus, Charlotte was depressed, stretched out her hand to rub her ache eyebrows.

Her mobile phone vibrated. Charlotte lowered her head to read Diana’s message. Diana asked her why she was late.

Charlotte had to reply, “I missed my stop, come right away!”

She was walking across the street to catch a bus. A car stopped in front of her and rolled down its window.

“Get in.” Manfred looked at her gently.

Charlotte was surprised to see him and stared at him in astonishment, “Why are you here? Shouldn't you...”

Have left? She had been several stops, he should not appear here.

“Silly girl, you were mind-absent in the morning, so I was worry about you. But you wouldn't let me see you off, so I had to follow you.”

With that, Manfred said with a smile, “Get into the car.”

Diana had been waiting for her. It would be there in about ten minutes. Charlotte did not want her to wait any longer, so he had to get in the car.

After getting into the car, Manfred reminded her to fasten her seatbelt and sent her to Diana.

“Go ahead and be safe.”

Manfred rubbed her head and told her to leave. Charlotte looked at him, nodded and then left.

There were still two minutes' walking distance from the agreed place, and Charlotte hurried to the agreed place.

Although it had not been long since she left school, there were still a lot of customers in this milk tea shop, and most of them were students nearby. The dressed Charlotte was particularly eye-catching, and when entering the shop, she attracted many people's eyes. Some of the boys in the shop whistled at her.

Charlotte passed by as if she did not hear that. She had seen Diana sitting in the corner.

Diana was wearing a pink skirt, looking like a princess.

Diana was poking the pearl in the cup impatiently. Some boys asked her number, but she sneered and then scolded, “Get away, ugly, do you think you can match me?”

That boy flushed by being scolded, “You! You can refuse, why swore me?”

Diana leered at him arrogantly, “Do you know who I am? Dare to ask for my number? I may have done more than just swear if you keep talking!”

The boy was timid and had to turn to leave, but as he turned, he bumped into Charlotte. Charlotte took back two steps and almost fell down by that.

“Oh, sorry!” The boy realized that he had bumped into someone and apologized. When he looked up, he saw Charlotte. He was so surprised that he stood there with his eyes wide open.
