Seduced by My Childhood Sweetheart’s Brother novel Chapter 496

I closed my eyes and waited for the frustration and anger within me to die down before opening them. Then, I gazed at Colin. "What happened? Must you go to her at night? Isn't it too late now?"

What I didn't say out loud was why he had to go to her when she was being cared for by her bodyguards.

Colin paused for a while and looked at me. Then, he ruffled my hair and cooed, "Come on, she was injured because of me. I'm sure she called me because she ran into a huge problem. By right, I should be there to help her.

"You're a sensible girl, babe. Just go to bed. I'll be back soon if it's nothing too serious."

If it was very serious, when would he come back? Again, that was a question that I did not ask out loud.

Sometimes, I felt like I was the embodiment of a dilemma. I knew that Colin was right. He should visit Jasmine as she was injured because of him. But personally, I couldn't let my boyfriend go to another woman's room late at night. It wasn't right.

"I'll come with you. Jasmine is a woman. It's inappropriate for a man to enter a woman's room when it's this late. But I won't have that kind of problem. What if she slipped in the shower or something? Don't you agree?" I winked at him playfully and gave him a look that said, "Just in case."

Colin's irises narrowed. He stared at me for three seconds and realized that I was hellbent on coming with him. He pursed his lips and said nothing. Then, he carried me out of bed and got dressed.

Jasmine's room was on the ninth floor while ours was on the 12th floor. We got dressed and took the elevator. Within ten minutes, we arrived on the ninth floor.

The tall man answered the door. He was shocked to see that I came with Colin, then he grimaced. I raised my brows. Clearly, something was fishy.

Colin wasn't pleased with how the tall man treated me, so his expression darkened. When the tall man noticed the displeasure on his face, he nodded politely and let us in.
