Remy was still all smiles. “I’ve never experienced being given a stalk of grass. I shall wait for you to do so.”

“That’s simple. I can get you a sack of grass the next time I go to the market.”

“Should I rear a cow too?”

Elisa smiled sweetly. “Don’t you dare feed the grass I gave you to a cow.”

“I wouldn’t.”

Elisa took two sets of new clothes from the shopping bags and gave them to Remy. “Do you like them? I bought this brand because all your clothes come from them. There are shirts, suits, and many other things.”

She even bought a dozen underwear for Remy but was too embarrassed to take them out. She stuffed them into the bags. He would see them after getting home and taking the clothes out.

Remy put the bouquet down. He browsed Elisa’s shopping haul and beamed. “Of course I like the clothes you bought. Their sizes fit me perfectly too.”

“You silly. Of course I’ll buy clothes that fit you.

“There are two neckties too.”

Elisa retrieved them.

Lastly, she revealed the watch.
