Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2306

When Hayden returned, the secretary had not left and reminded her, “Mr. Queen, Mr. York’s still in the VIP lounge.”

“Noted. Clear my schedule for tonight. You can get off work now.”

“Okay.”

The secretary could not repress his happiness upon Hayden canceling the night’s schedule. If his boss was not going to attend any business engagements, he could rest for the night and accompany his girlfriend.

As Mr. Queen’s secretary, his days would always be busy. He had not been on a date with his girlfriend for a long time now and she had not been happy about it.

After instructing her secretary to clear her evening, Hayden walked to the VIP lounge and pushed the door open. She saw Kevin sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea in his hand. He was reading the newspaper, taken from the coffee table.

He looked relaxed and not a bit annoyed. When he sensed another’s presence in the room, he raised his head and saw Hayden.

He put the cup of tea down and walked to her before asking concernedly, “Has the meeting ended? How did it go?”

“The collaboration between Queen Enterprise and Rowling Group was previously settled. The discussion with Mr. Rowling today saw us finalizing everything.”

“Congratulations.”

Hayden was happy. “Thank you.”

She glanced at the newspaper and his cup of tea. “Were you reading the newspaper just now?”

“Yes. I read the newspaper and had tea while waiting for the woman I love to finish her work. I think days like these are enjoyable.”

Hayden glared at him. “Who’s your woman?”

“You’re the woman I love. I didn’t say anything wrongly.”

Hayden was lost for words. She misheard and acted on reflex.

“Are you done with your work for the day?”

Seeing her rendered speechless made Kevin feel he was at an advantage. He held her hand happily, but she flung his hand away. When he tried again, he held tighter to prevent her from escaping this time.

“Kevin, we’re still at Queen Enterprise, my company,” Hayden reminded sternly.
