Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2590

Quinn calmly ate her food. When Zoey was not looking, she seized the window of opportunity and refilled her glass with wine before downing it. By the time her mother looked over, she had already put down the glass and was back to calmly eating her meal. There was no sign of her sneaky behavior.

Julian found this amusing.

However, he did not dare to fill Quinn’s glass with wine. His future mother-in-law had strict rules about not allowing the family to drink too much, and even though he was just having a couple of drinks together as their guest, he could not overindulge.

He certainly did not want to break the good impression Zoey had of him.

“Yes, it’s her colleague’s son. She wants our daughter to meet him tomorrow at the nicely decorated bubble tea shop near our gym.”

Zoey handed the phone to Dave and asked quietly, “What do you think? Should we arrange for our daughter to meet him? He seems a bit overweight, and it’s clear that he seldom works out.

Dave took the phone, and Will peered over his shoulder to have a look. He expressed his disdain, “He looks like a pig! How can he be worthy of my sister? Mom, why would Felicia introduce such a guy to Quinn? She should introduce someone of higher quality, at the very least, more good-looking. He’s so ugly! If our nephews inherited his looks, won’t they be terribly unattractive?

“Like uncle, like nephew; so my nephews better be as handsome as me when they grow up.”

Zoey retorted, “What about you? You are one of the high-quality men Felicia knows. She introduced so many girls to you, why hadn’t you fancied any? I don’t know what kind of girl you’re looking for. If you keep being picky, you’ll only be left with leftovers.”

Will turned to Julian and asked, “Julian, you’re two years older than me. Do your parents pressure you to get married? Whenever you go home, do they keep pestering you and call your aunts to set up hundreds and thousands of blind dates for you every day?”

Julian chuckled, “Oh yes, my parents are also pushing me to get married. I’m getting on in age, so it’s only natural for them to urge me. I can understand where they’re coming from.”

Will immediately found a kindred spirit. They both complained about their parents pressuring them to get married while completely ignoring the Crawford elders’ disapproving glances.
